We enjoyed looking at the illustrations and reading about them. My daughter (aged 5) enjoyed the quiz, but I felt there could have been more children friendly trails to engage them better.

This is not a large property but is packed with history and wonderful drawings whether you are a fan of Beatrix Potter or not. We were there at a time when it was not too busy but can imagine a long wait at other times. The guides were friendly and knowledgable. Combine this with a visit to Hill Top.

This old building was were Beatrix Potter's husband, William Heelis worked, he left it to the National Trust when he died. Lots of Beatrix's drawings and paintings on display. Only slight downside was as it was such an old building, it would be difficult for the elderly and disabled to get around. Definitely worth visiting though.

Its very interesting place to visit with a lot to learn about Ms potter. My only issue is the cost it's raryer expensive and some... More

interesting place in the middle of Hawkshead, the stairs to og upstairs are very narrow, almost claustrophobic, wider ones downstairs. We're members so the price was of no concern to us.

Really enjoyed the gallery. Lovely to see her drawings and books. Current exhibition themed on her holidays in the Lakes and helped in linking her various connections around the whole area..

An interesting place to display the original art work of Beatrix Potter and expand on her life story and the contributions of other BP sites.
