Lovely little visit to learn more about Beatrix. Staff were very knowledgeable. We decided to join the National Trust here as it will save money in the long run as so much to see & do.

Enjoyed this lots info about her life and experience. Lots of books to read and although geared very much towards kids also interesting for adults.

This was a great little museum to have a wander around. The displays of Beatrix Potter's original illustrations were lovely. As a member of the National Trust I enjoyed wandering fairly quickly through however it is only a small place so don't expect to spend a long time wandering around.

Gardens and house were really interesting to experience. The warm weather added to the enjoyment of the countryside and the specific area of the Potter's museum..

We are glad we stopped by the gallery, as it had some of Beatrix Potter's history mixed in. The displays talked about her interest in nature very early on and had some of the shells and rocks and other things she collected as a child. They also have several family photos and letters she wrote to people with little illustrations.... More

They're doing their best. Beatrix Potters original artwork. Wonderful and beautiful and well worth seeing. What else? Well, it's a lovely wee house with not much space. There's no fairground rides or cafe but it's a tiny wee cottage. Would I pay? Probably not, but as a NT member and with a passing interest in Beatrix Potter it's well worth... More

Quite a small house but filled with fascinating objects to do with Beatrix. Lots of her original drawings are displayed upstairs and are definitely worth looking at.

I never was smitten much by the works of Beatrix Potter as a child. This is odd as I loved reading and writing before entering school, much inspired by a patient mom's daily input, especially since I'd been seriously ill twice and had for a couple of earlier years, few other options. Yet , for whatever reason, the works of... More

Potter's wonderful sketches are housed in a very interesting gallery in Hawkshead. My 6 year old son enjoyed completing the quiz which help him navigated the gallery as well as look more closely at the art. At the end he was rewarded with several free gifts which made his day. Thanks to the lovely staff.

I visited this with my Mother after also visiting Hilltop (Beatrix Potter's cottage). The man welcoming us was very knowledgeable and the man in the ticket office dashed over the road to return my bottle of water when I left it behind. My only slight criticism would be that I feel a 'combined' cheaper ticket for both the gallery and... More
