This is an interesting gallery and building. Beatrix Potter's husband worked here as a solicitor for many years. The exhibition 'Beatrix Potter on Holiday' was well curated. However, in the permanent exhibition there were very few illustrations from her famous books. The space could have been used much more effectively. There was space on the walls for twice the amount... More

Was OK, made more interesting by the fact it was her husbands business address. Can't believe it was still used as solicitors office until 1980's!!

Was expecting more on the Potter World style, but still very good and informative. This attraction concentrates more on her life outside of the Peter Rabbit world

Lovely visit. Great to see the original paintings of Beatrix Potter. The building was the original offices of her husband who practice as a solicitor there. Staff very well informed. Building is situated in a lovely village. A must attraction to see.

It is a small venue but quite nice to have a wander around. As NT members we did it while in Hawkshead. We spoke to Ken at the ticket office, once Barclays Bank. He was a mine of information

This is a very interesting place for Miss Potters fans and not to be missed. The illustrations are displayed very well and the whole place has a real sense of history. You can almost sense her visiting here when it was an office. It is fabulous.

Being in Beatrix Potters husbands work building, it is understandably small. Very quaint and well put together exhibition. If you are interested in Beatrix Potter this is a must!

If you love art and are able to study the pictures, this will be great,, there's a little bit of history too as it's set in the building Beatrix Potters husband worked in. It's nice but there's not too much to see if you are the casual visitor
