It was fantastic to see some of Beatrix Potter's original art but it was very over priced in my opinion. In combination with Hill Top Farm it cost £31 for the pair of us and the tour of both lasting about an 1hr in total.

I do feel that this was shoved into a building that is linked to Miss Potter because it is linked to her. It was tiny. Interesting to see her academic side, but too small for me.

The pictures on display were so bright and colourful, so intricate and so delicately done. It was fantastic to see these, Peter Rabbit is good, but some of the artwork in this gallery is amazing!

Even if you're not into Beatrix Potter, this house is well worth a visit. In a village full of shops, mostly sporting the name of Potter or Peter Rabbit, whose raison d'être is to get tourists to part with their cash, this is a little beacon of light. The building itself is small, with narrow steep staircases to clobber the... More

Disappointing to say the least, this was our first step on on our Beatrix Potter trail, I was expecting a lot better, I didn't think there was enough to see. The standard adult admission being £5.40 was only just value for money, fortunately being NT members entry was free.

Lovely old building containing original paintings and sketches by Beatrix Potter and plenty to interest the children too. As usual the guides were very informative and friendly.

Never knew that this place was owned by Heelis the solicitor for Beatrix Potter. Upstairs are original paintings and sketches by Beatrix Potter and other interesting information. Well worth a visit when in Hawkshead.
