My wife and I visit Grassmere on average 3 times a year and part of the enyoyment is having an evening meal at the Bistro. Atmosphere relaxed, food wonderful and presentation perfect. Home made soup,steak and lamb shank amongst my favourites. Gentleman serving most helpful and pleasant/attentive. advise booking a table first and enjoy the experience! more

We visited Grasmere,because i had seen the shop on the tv.IT's not what i expected at all. The shop is next to the church and once inside it's like going back in time.It is tiny but it was lovely.The smell as you go in is unbelievable.The first thing you see is the staff dressed in victorian clothes which was a... more

I have been to Grasmere on holiday with my in laws, when I lived in England with my husband. We stopped by the gingerbread shop, it's called Sarah Nelson's gingerbread.
