Great little shop with all of the branded Herdy goodies, mugs, planters, tee towels, baby jumpsuits, pillows, crochet kits, placemats, coasters and lots of other goodies. Well worth a little nosey if you like the Herdy brand - he's really rather cute!

Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick are just a few towns with a Herdy shop. From tea towels, cups to notebooks. There are some very bright and beautifully unique gifts for the sheep lover or just a gift from your visit to The lake district.

Hello and glad you are enjoying our herdy shops in the Lakes - at the moment we only have Grasmere and Keswick, and another one over at Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales. You may have gone to Ambleside TIC or Detail, two of our trade outlets who carry a limited stock. Either way, we're happy you enjoy herdy and we... More

Nicely set out with colourful Herdy products. Love the range and the bright cheerful designs. I didn't purchase anything today but still enjoyed looking and getting ideas for gifts.

We visited the Herdy shop on a recent trip to Grasmere, drawn in by the colourful sign and window display. What a lovely homage to the local Herdwick sheep! I bought a bright green contemporary design fine bone china mug with the loveable sheep smiling out - perfect for my morning coffee. There is a great range of colours and... More

Hi chinnamasta and thanks for your lovely review! Glad you enjoyed our little shop - as you can tell we love Herdwicks! We have a slightly bigger range up at Keswick if you're ever further north. Did you know a percentage of all our profits goes into the herdy fund, which supports community projects, fell farming and the lovable herdwick... More

I visited the shop today to pick up an umbrella and sheep for a friend and wanted to pick up a mug for myself for work. I noticed on the website that seconds are available but unfortunately the shop in Grasmere is too small to hold seconds. So i left a little disappointed as i didn't Treat myself to a... More

Hello Sarah Jane, thanks for visiting our Grasmere shop. As you say its quite small so we don't have room to stock seconds here (we have some at our Hawes shop, and on-line). The price for our first quality mugs are £11 each - for a unique, hand-made fine bone china mug made in England in the Staffordshire Potteries. As... More

I visited the Herdy Shop in February this year and purchased a few items, one for them was a Herdy mug. When I got it home and made a cuppa in it I realised it had a crack in it. I emailed the Herdy head office and advised them of this. I had thrown receipts, tags etc out and they... More

It's a small shop selling sheep stuff. It's not an attraction or, if it is, it might suggest you did not do your research too well! Recommended length of visit? 3-4 minutes.

This is a wonderful little shop in the centre of Grasmere. We were starting our walk from the Rothay Garden Hotel and could not resist the colourful scarves in the window. They are made from locally sourced wool and beatifully made, and we returned the next day to buy a large woolen blanket and cushions for the sofas. The shop... More
