We attended this tour on 22/11/14 and really enjoyed it. We have done most brewery tours in the area and this one was not the best we have attended but not far off. Definitely worth a visit. Great selection of ales available to try after the tour also.

We were in the Lakes at October half term and I decided to treat my other half to a brewery tour. We phoned and they said you didn't need to book. We made the trip over from Matterdale and when we arrived they said the tour was full due to a stag do booking. We explained our situation and they... More

This brewery has recently been taken over by Marstens but, refreshingly for this day and age, Marstens have not interfered with the beers brewed here and have actively enabled Jennings to continue brewing under their own steam! I have been on a few brewery tours and this one ranks among the best. The guide explained the brewing process with humour... More

We went on the tour when the taste festival and beer festival were on. Surprisingly the tour was half price and we got 3 halfs at the end worth more. Interesting history to the brewery and the impact of the recent floods.

It was a cold wet afternoon and this was a really good place to visit, even if you're not a real beer drinker, our party was split 50/50, and we were all well looked after, lots of fascinating information about the manufacture of Jennings beers, and generous samples from across the range of product, 1 1/2 Pints each, so loads... I have lived in Cumbria for 26 years and finally got round to booking a tour around my favourite brewers. I went with my girlfriend and we both had an excellent time, the tour guide was informative and passionate about beer and the whole process was explained very well. We got 3 halves of our choice after the tour with... More

This great old brewery in central Cockermouth has a great shop offering merchandise and bottled beers and there is also a nice really nice café offering great range of foods such as local cheese platters and huge slabs of cake. The tour was very interesting and a great way to understand how beers are made with a chance to sample... More

Wonderful staff. Tour was interesting, informative and laid back but safety was always to the fore. The building itself was amazing - lots for great features such as old ships timbers. Metal steps between each floor and some low beams. Tours are at 12noon and 2pm and last 90mins approx. This tour is definitely value for money.
