Well worth a visit - even for none ale drinkers (I don't drink ale and found it really interesting and even found an ale that I like!). The gift shop is great and offers a wide range of souvenirs from cases/kegs of ale through to key rings and t shirts. Our guide, Jane, was lovely and very knowledgeable! Highly recommended!

My first visit to the Jennings Brewery but will definitely visit again on my next trip to the region! Our guide Phil was excellent- so friendly and informative. The sampling was generous - would recommend staying in the town to take advantage. Beer prices in the shop were reasonable.

We did a private night tour for a friends birthday, the tour was interesting and the guides were very new there stuff, it was interesting to find out how they rebuilt after the flooding a few years back. The night consisted off 45 minute tour Pie and peas Then an hour of sampling all the different ales they had on.... More

Enjoyed the excellent tour. I've been on a few brewery tours around the UK and this is definitely the best and I learned a few new things. We got there early and had a couple of pints and meat platter each before our 2pm tour. There were only two other couples on the tour as it was mid-week and quiet... More

We joined the brewery tour, and it was great. Very informative and we get to try different beer samples in very generous amounts. And we had our lunch there as well. Food was fantastic, the person was really friendly. And the scones there, best I ever had in the UK. Highly recommended.

Brewery tour organised by friend whilst I was visiting. Really interesting. Very friendly staff with good level of knowledge. Nice size brewery for this sort of thing as you can really see the process in action. Excellent beer after the tour!

So a brewery tour is a brewery tour is a brewery tour right? Well not quite. Having done some good and “bad” tours in everything from an industrial size Irish conglomerate to a tiny back room in Vegas I can tell you that you always pretty much hear the same thing (surprise!) and the difference is often something unique, a... Really enjoyed learning the history of this great British Brewery. Good way of spending a couple of hours in Cockermouth and sampling good British beer! Cafe is a bit hit and miss, wife waited for 30 minutes for a cup of tea! (and still didn't get it!) but who want tea in a brewery?
