We were given safety instructions and life jackets (which we were instructed to keep on during the whole trip) and set off on our adventure. The scenery was breathtaking and once in... More

I phoned to reserve a Hawk 20 sailboat on the phone. I was told that they were to busy to deal with me and I would have to phone back later. I phoned back later and the booking was reserved. Upon arrival (3 hour journey), we waited for some time before anyone came to the desk. When they did they... More

We phoned the main office to find out if we could use the ferry to cross back over the lake with bikes. She said it depended on the boat driver, and best thing was to ask when it arrived. When the boat arrived we were told no bikes even though the boat was virtually empty. It is noted as a... More

We went to Conisten water as a family group of 10 people, ages ranging from 12-70. It was a lovely day. After having a nice little walk some of the group continued and walked over lovely hills and countryside. 7 of us went in kyaks on the lake. When we arrived they only had double kyaks left. They were £25... More

Lovely lake to have a picnic and a walk around. Went in the summer and as it was a hot day it was busy with families and dog walkers which makes finding a car parking space a little difficult. The lake is about a 10 minute walk from the village which is also worth looking around as very picture perfect... More

The beauty of the lake is delightful and you can sit on benches or in the cafe and watch the world go by or feed the ducks. You can hire boats or take a boat trip, hire bikes or just use your feet and go for walks in any direction. There is parking, restrooms and a lovely cafe, there are... More

Hired an electric boat for 2 hours and did the length and back of Coniston water, as the lake is so big it didn't matter that there were loads of people there's enough space for everybody. If your idea of heaven is being on the water enjoying the peace and quiet and tranquillity that that brings then I thoroughly recommend... More

Took a boat trip though the weather was not great , it was still stunning . Points along the trip that you can stop off and have a break. Well worth doing .
