We took our seven year old here and must say we went round in less than twenty minutes. The place was freezing cold they only put lights on when someone enters the shop. Paint is falling off the walls looks awful. Anyway we set off for a look around and was disappointed my little one has a better collection of...

Walking back from The Deep, we came across Dinostar by accident. It's a smashing little dinosaur exhibition. A good range of fossils (the bones are mostly casts but guess what, so are the ones in the Natural History Museum) with well-written, informative labels. It's nicely laid out and has a surprising amount of interactivity, including prehistoric sounds and smells. So...

In all honesty, pretty poor. Attraction got round in less than an hour. I read all info whilst kids drew pictures and dusted sand of bones. A couple of genuine bones, rest plastic, paper mâché style. Place in need of renovation, paint missing off walls, poor interaction boxes, run down. At £3 adult and £1.50 kids, it's too expensive. And...

The Kids liked it and we will go back , but do not expect great things as an adult, for us it was a little tatty but not expensive and the kids enjoyed the experience
We took our sons aged 4 and 5, who love dinosaurs! They absolutely loved it and were very excited with all the different exhibits. They enjoyed the sounds, the smells and seeing how big the dinosaurs actually were. Well worth the money paid, a lovely place to take children. Very educational for both adults and children.
When we first went in we thought that perhaps we'd made a mistake choosing to go to Dinostar but the reaction of our children soon changed our minds. They absolutely loved it. There are a range of interactive activities such as buttons to press to hear what sound a particular dinosaur may have made, smelly boxes and sand boxes to...

A decent venue, a lot packed into a reasonably compact venue. like the twitter service with regular updates on events and special offers. in the area give it a go!
We took our three grandchildren on a very wet day in April. Not really expecting much we were delighted with what we found. Children aged from 3 - 7 and there was some really good inter-active and hands on stuff for them to do. We all enjoyed it
if you have a child into dinosaurs then this is ideal for them, although adults may need more to keep them entertained
