Love this place, local and a great day out in any weather. Perfect for a dog walk to chill and relax. Cafe and animal centre too. The paddle swan boats are fun in the summer and cheap. Great place. Oh and it's free.

The Park is in the East of the City and a vast expanse in a built up area. There is a café within the Park and plenty of nice walks around the large lake and the boating lake with a splash boat for the children. Mums take their children to feed the ducks and on a lovely day its a... More

Been many times, not much to say other than great place to visit especially in the school holidays when kids are bored and you don't want to be venturing far and or spending a fortune on entry fees to theme parks etc. My boys love the animals, take some bread to feed all the ducks!!.

now the waterchute is up and running again, they just need to invest and get the water park working as well. Getting the plumbing sorted out shouldn't be rocket science.

Great day out with the grandson, he really enjoyed seeing all the animals in the mini zoo, especially the parrot the was mesmerised by them.

A firm family favourite of ours for many years, our enthusiasm for na few hours in East Park has waned this last year. The small zoo that forms the eastern part of the park is often closed to visitors, the area around the lake is always closed, the bots firmly locked up and not available for hire even on the... Not a bad park other than the fact that it closes too early (particularly in the summer when it's still hot and sunny in the early evening), the toilets are rank and it's often full of weirdos. The animals are all great, other than some of the dogs that people walk. If it won't come when you call it, keep... More

Whether you are having a stroll with family/friends, running around the lake/perimeter, with children on the playground, playing football on the vast grass areas, seeing the animals or chilling in the cafe with friends/family. I never get tired of the park that changes with the seasons and the number of visitors that don't live locally. It's perfect for early morning... More

The kids park needs a lot of work done, half of it is broken and has been for few years, also the water bit wasn't open this year because kids were getting sick last year
