My Social group and I had a good time trying to work out who 'dunnit', we had a great evening and will go to another one in the future. The Fish & Chips was delicious and served hot. The ice cream was good too. Overall a very pleasant outing worth every penny.

With having a 3 year old Peppa Pig obsessive it seemed the perfect excuse for a ride on the Spa Valley Railway. It was a last minute decision so we ended up on the last train of the day which meant that we were the only people in our carriage which made it feel very special. We were visited by... More

A little gem, a steam train with its own. Little bar car that serves tea and scones in a proper china teapot or a nice bottled ale in a proper glass. By far the best way to see the countryside. Tied in with a bit of retail therapy in Royal Tunbridge Wells, what more could you ask for

We visited the Spa Valley Railway for the day out with Thomas experience taking along our two year old son. We arrived at Eridge and were greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff with stickers and leaflets of information for the day. There was a small and reasonably priced merchandise stall where we brought a Thomas flag for £1.50 which our... More

Dear Gamina, Thank you so much for coming to see us last week, and for your kind review. We appreciate it very much. As I've mentioned in a previous response, it was really unfortunate that Thomas decided to get so show-stoppingly sick, and we can only apologise for that - it was totally outside our control and is a small... The day was a treat for my 3 year old granddaughter. We arrived at Eridge and waited for the train. We did not mind that it was a few minutes late. We were totally disappointed when the train appeared, a diesel engine (not a Thomas friend) pulling the carriages with a steam engine at the rear! Why not have a... More

Dear BG, Thank you for taking the time to post a review, and please accept our unreserved apologies for the failure of Thomas himself on Saturday, particularly given that you might have come quite a long way for the event (Birmingham?) Unfortunately he experienced some mechanical difficulties which rendered him immobile for the day. Regrettably his defect was not detectable... More

A great short line between West Tunbridge Wells and Groombridge with an extention further onto the main line which is a real honour for the line to have access to a fully operational main line station and line. Stop off at any of the stations for some lovely attractions on the way!

I took the off-peak fare from London Bridge and after an hour of traveling changed to the Spa Valley line. The train was a push-pull using both a steam and a diesel loco. I sat in the beautifully restored buffet car (named Kate) and had a cream tea (with scones, jam, cream). My fare was a 10 pound senior's concession... More
