We travelled with my two grandchildren, aged 10 and 6, and were completely charmed by a really lovely and memorable day out, made extra special by the lovely volunteers, all of whom were smiling, helpful and who seemed to really enjoy the company of children. Every child received lots of attention from face painters, balloon artists, magicians and Santa, the... More

When your extremely excited 4 year old tells you disappointedly that it isn't the real Santa then you know it is bad. We were all very excited as a family to book this special train trip Santa and the experience started off well at the lovely Eridge train station but once on the train, this imposter of a Santa stopped... Dear John, Thank you for taking the time to post a review, and I can appreciate an athletic 6ft Santa with a comparatively tidy beard is not the same as the one that appears on the Coke ads (assuming it's they who hold the ID rights to the Great Man). I regret that on Saturday our First Santa was unexpectedly... More

The Santa Special was absolutely awesome! We booked on for a Saturday at 10:15 am. There was plenty of parking outside the station (free) and in the car park (all day £1.50). The staff were wonderfully friendly and very helpful. They really made sure we felt comfortable and that we were all set for travelling on the train including telling... More

Well the staff at Spa Valley Railway have excelled themselves yet again, we arrived at Eridge bargain to park for £1.10 for the day no pressure to get back to the car before the fun police gave us a ticket LOL!! We were met by the ladies facepainting in their Christmas jumpers who even convinced my mother to have a... More

A group of us (12) had a super evening. Great laughs, the food was good and served hot, no mean feast as it is no cooked on the premises. Bar was good. The Murder Mystery was good too, great laughs all around. I would go again. Very good rather excellent, as one of the actors was rather rude, at the... More

I took my two year old and seven year old on the Spa Valley Railway on Friday 31st-Halloween. We had come from Hastings so was really hoping for a great day out, and we weren't dissapointed. Upon arrival we were met by two witches in full costume who took my children off to count pumpkins, showed them all the (hand... More

What a great evening. The staff and helpers really went to town on this one and from what we saw, everyone enjoyed it. Goouls, Ghosts, Witches, Warewolves, Frankensteins Monster, and many more. The train was all dressed up and the children had lots to do and see. Great evening. Thank you.

We visited Spa Valley Railway on Real Ale Festival weekend and had an amazing time. The festival was set in the engine shed and it couldn't have been a better venue, even with a wood burner giving it an authentic smell and warmth. Lots of local real ales and ciders on offer, and I liked the fact that you could... More

He just kept saying wow, woooow, when he got sight of the life size Thomas train. Staff were really friendly and there were lots of activities for the little ones. We... More

I visited the Spa Valley railway on 13th Oct, for one of the "Day out with Thomas" events. Myself, my wife and our 20 month old son had a great day out. Staff are friendly, and the Fat Controller is excellent. I would recommend going for the Tea, as you actually go on Thomas. Cant fault it. great value for... More
