I took my two year old and seven year old on the Spa Valley Railway on Friday 31st-Halloween. We had come from Hastings so was really hoping for a great day out, and we weren't dissapointed. Upon arrival we were met by two witches in full costume who took my children off to count pumpkins, showed them all the (hand... More

What a great evening. The staff and helpers really went to town on this one and from what we saw, everyone enjoyed it. Goouls, Ghosts, Witches, Warewolves, Frankensteins Monster, and many more. The train was all dressed up and the children had lots to do and see. Great evening. Thank you.

We visited Spa Valley Railway on Real Ale Festival weekend and had an amazing time. The festival was set in the engine shed and it couldn't have been a better venue, even with a wood burner giving it an authentic smell and warmth. Lots of local real ales and ciders on offer, and I liked the fact that you could... More

We took our little boy and he had such an amazing time- If he could write, I'm sure he'd say that it was the best outing of his life!! He just kept saying wow, woooow, when he got sight of the life size Thomas train. Staff were really friendly and there were lots of activities for the little ones. We... More

I visited the Spa Valley railway on 13th Oct, for one of the "Day out with Thomas" events. Myself, my wife and our 20 month old son had a great day out. Staff are friendly, and the Fat Controller is excellent. I would recommend going for the Tea, as you actually go on Thomas. Cant fault it. great value for... More

What a fantastic day we've just had. We started our journey at Eridge which was the perfect start to the day, it cost £1 to park all day, we we're then greeted at the station by a friendly gentleman handing out stickers & telling you which train carriage to board. The station was quaint and old fashioned with a small... More

Good old fashioned fun at the Tunbridge Wells Spa Valley railway with Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends. My son (aged 2) really enjoyed the engines and the games in the shed. Best part of the day was watching the engines shunting in the yard!

The railway may only be 5 miles long but the stations and carriages are kept in immaculate condition. As a rail enthusiast it's great as most services alternate between steam & diesel so you get the best of both worlds. However I can see that it may be of limited appeal to some, especially older children, as the ride is... More
