Nicely decorated for our family wedding party trip to High Rocks. Great fun for all ages and a very special start to a romantic wedding ceremony.

We took our second trip on the railway as a gift to our father for his birthday. We had a groupon ticket entitling us to a return trip from Tunbridge wells to eridge. We spent the first half hour in the carriage cinema in the station, watching the historic film and then boarded the train in the bar car kate...... More

This was the first time we had been on the Spa Valley Railway, and went because we had been on the Kent & East Sussex Railway out of Tenterden that ends Northiam & Bodium Castle on numerous time and think it is excellent. Whilst I completely understand that the Spa Valley Railway is manned by volunteers, it just isn’t very... More

Been here several times, most recently on Mothers Day. A great railway line, with friendly staff - impressive when you realise they are all volunteers. The annual Thomas events are great fun for the kids, and we all really enjoyed the mothers day cream tea trip. Once out of TW there are great countryside views from the train, and they... More

We booked Spa Valley Railway's 'Bar Car Kate' to take us from Tunbridge Wells to High Rocks for our wedding on 30th March 2013, paying a premium for exclusive use of the bar facilities. We visited the railway the Monday before our Saturday wedding to ensure that everything was I order and were assured that it was, so when we... More

Above and beyond our expectation, first class service with amazing attention to detail - decorated carriages, flowers, red carpets... incredible.

Tried to book a mothers day special. Phoned the ticket office, only to be told that the Ticket Office, does NOT sell tickets. What is the point of a ticket office then? I was told tickets have to be brought on the internet, and then the receipt printed out, when i said i am on holiday, so have no printer.... More

Dear Javron53250, Thank you for your honest feedback, and I'm very sorry to hear you were disappointed with our booking process. Of course, it's difficult for me to argue the logic of a ticket office that can't sell you a ticket if you ring it up! Being totally reliant on volunteer labour, we can't always ensure we have an effective... More

Bit of an unfair review as I am an 'anorak', but hear me out! The Spa Valley Railway is approx a 5 miles railway running between Tunbridge Wells and Eridge. We visited on one of the first open days of the year in mid March. We started from the TW end. The TW end has the station terminus of what... More

My youngest daughter bought surprise tickets for the Santa Special for my birthday at the end of November. We have been many times on the steam train to Groombridge but this was extra special. Lovely people pushed a trolley along the train corridor to our reserved carriage - like an Agatha Christie novel. We enjoyed very small cups of mulled... More

As a railway enthusiast I visit many heritage railways and the Spa Valley is one of my favourites. Its really easy to get to at either end; by mainline train into Eridge, or a short walk from mainline station Tunbridge Wells (or you can catch the 281 bus for £1). The ride along the line is very enjoyable and the... More
