Having lived within a stone's throw of the beach for a year, I was able to see it in all the seasons. This beach is very clean and has facilities towards the town end of the beach. Great days to be had on the beach and perfect for those who are adventuring around east Kent. I would recommend heading just... More

I dont often visit this beach but did in september. It was filthy. Broken glass. Dirty nappies. Rubbish on beach and walk way. Bins over spilling due to the thanet lazy council workers sitting sleeping in their vans. And the locals are so bad. Drinking alcohol on beach smoking drugs and giving families bad looks. Scary place. Dirty place avoid!!!!

As a teenage boy, growing up in my parent's guest house in Penshurst Road, during the 1970's, (yes, there WERE guest houses in Penshurst Road - it was a nice area back then) I used to go on this beach a lot, especially during the holiday season. When the tide was out. you could not see the sand at all... More

Although it's only a small beach it is very well maintained. Lovely cafe to sit and eat & drink whilst watching the kids make their sandcastles.

filthy, rubbish everywhere... we kept our shoes on, I wouldn't walk bare foot here... again, poor old Ramsgate... broken, down at heel, unloved by it's local authority, unloved by it's population in general, filthy, grotty, decaying. What is going to happen to the Pavilion.... why doesn't Thanet start by sorting out that building and restore it.

We love visiting Ramsgate and walking on the beach. However on my last visit I tried to approach a Community Policy Officer to ask where I could walk our dog. He was too busy talking to a local about something more important than doing his job. he was rude and officious and effectively told me to wait. I think it... More

The Esplanade, as I walked along it, showed promise, but upon closer inspection it was decrepit. The first thing that REALLY caught my eye was a WW1 garden, which I thought was a beautiful memorial.....but tho it might have been planted with good intentions, it is now overgrown with weeds. There were further rose gardens...which needed dead heading and weeding.... More

Went for the day in June for a sunbathe and lunch. Had to park by the harbour which was a hassle as the machine was broken and had to pay by mobile phone and card. Walked to the beach past some quirky restaurants and cafes and a fish and chip shop. Nice new sun loungers on the beach and there... More

Spent 4 nights in lovely apartment at 1 Granville Marina in early July. So disappointed that the backdrop to the main beach was so run down with an abandoned building site behind wooden hoardings and derelict pavilion. In spite of notices banning dogs on the beach the locals were allowing their dogs to roam on the beach and foul on... More
