It's the seaside

Lovely large beach mainly good sand with some areas of pebbles and shells for decorating sandcastles. Clean, free toilets.

Nice beach , quite clean with a few little cafes / kiosks along it. Also shop for kids toys and inflatables etc. A great day for the kids

Stayed just off the beach. Great sand but a few rocky bits at low tide. Paddlers need to watch where they go! Easy access and parking.

The beach is brilliant in summer and during the winter I have seen wind surfers kite surfers and normal surfers it's a shame that the council don do more to promote the beach.

We took our son and his family there to pass the time ... its right on the beach and next to the children's swings etc. we sat under a parasol and had fish & chips and alcoholic drinks (adults not kiddies !!!) I was very good, large portions and well presented ... highly recommended

It's a great walk aroun like a necklace it a broad stretch but a nice one. We walked in on he evening the weather was good too. Lot many people there to walk their dogs for just run on the beach. It was right outside our hotel so that was quite handy too. They have got plenty of benches and... More

Having lived within a stone's throw of the beach for a year, I was able to see it in all the seasons. This beach is very clean and has facilities towards the town end of the beach. Great days to be had on the beach and perfect for those who are adventuring around east Kent. I would recommend heading just... More

I dont often visit this beach but did in september. It was filthy. Broken glass. Dirty nappies. Rubbish on beach and walk way. Bins over spilling due to the thanet lazy council workers sitting sleeping in their vans. And the locals are so bad. Drinking alcohol on beach smoking drugs and giving families bad looks. Scary place. Dirty place avoid!!!!

As a teenage boy, growing up in my parent's guest house in Penshurst Road, during the 1970's, (yes, there WERE guest houses in Penshurst Road - it was a nice area back then) I used to go on this beach a lot, especially during the holiday season. When the tide was out. you could not see the sand at all... More
