Definitely worth a visit, suitable for all ages. There are several tracks to choose from but in general they are all easy for an experienced hiker.

The hum of Dover port (which is quite an amazing sight if you like industry) is all-pervasive - maybe not if you go to the lighthouse or further, but I just did some of the short paths on a sunny morning and was blown away. Walk down into Langdon Hole towards the edge for some great views of the cliffs... More

Just returned from a few days visit to Dover. The visit was combined with a trip to France and Flanders. Spent a couple of days in Dover and climbed upto the white cliffs. It was a very sunny day and we could see across to Calais. Walking along the cliffs brought back the Vera Lynn song for us ( although... More

It was good to see the cliffs whilst we were in the area. The car parking etc was quite expensive. I would not go again, but it was good to see them once.

This was a last minute decision to visit the cliffs... So glad we did it though. National Trust site - well kept, great facilities, gift shop, cafe and the best part of all... The cliffs and what a view! Reasonably priced at just £3.50 per car, plenty parking space and information boards too, plus free map. Would recommend it -... More

Such a short hop from Canterbury on a day side trip from London, we could not pass it up. Too hazy/foggy on a warm September afternoon to see the coast of France, but the view of the White Cliffs was great for amateur photographers like us! Such a legendary landmark, and only about a 30 minute drive from Canterbury. Unfortunately,... More

As part of a September 2013 Golden Tours visit that included time n Dover, we stopped at Dover Beach and enjoyed the beautiful views from the coastal area. If offered a great vista of the White Cliffs of Dover and, being a clear day, the coastline of France was visible in the distance. A visit here is a real jewel... More

We took a ferry back in forth from dover to calais and back and really enjoyed the scenery. The ferry ride takes roughly about 90 minutes. Make sure you look for a good spot to sit with your family because they will go quick especially the views with windows which most people will take first.

We went here on a day trip from London. We stopped at the Battle of Britain Memorial which was being updated with a nice museum dedicated to the heroes of the Battle. It was foggy the day we were there and the fog began lifting before we left so we did get to see the lovely white cliffs. We were... More
