Went here on a lovely sunny day on 19/4 with pushchairs.Initially the parking was full so we drove much further, if you drive a few miles further there a few parking places by the road (which should be free parking),but they were also full, so returned back to the main parking which was free by now and we paid £3.50... Incredible landscape, the walk from Dover to the lighthouse is not to be missed on a good day. Fantastic views of the cliffs, the castle and the port, absolutely delightful.

What an amazing setting! My boyfriend and I had an unexpected 2 days off while he was on an internship in the UK. He surprised me by proposing when we arrived at the top of East Cliff on a beautiful sunny day, over what will now forever be the most memorable picnic. He had his heart set on proposing at... More

Nice walks, nice views and I could see France as the day was sunny.... Some of the walks are too close to the edge :-) you can spend a day in exploring many parts of the cliff... And see the loading and unloading of ships in the Dover port.

I live locally and am ashamed to say I have never been before, it's a beautiful place. A small charge for parking, great views, walks and a tea room too. Would definitely recommend and will go back again soon. Recommended for couples, friends and families

We drove to the National Trust car park at the visitor centre. It's a steep climb to walk from Dover. We didn't go into the visitor centre but spent two hours walking along the cliffs towards St Margarets Bay and back. The weather was lovely which made the day - I'm not sure I would bother if it was raining.... More

Review of the cliffs only: Magnificent. I recommend that you check the weather forecast first. I walked the path from the lighthouse back to the castle and town, appr. two hours. Highly recommended! Bring food for a splendid picnic.

We got a taxi up to the cliffs. Had a wonderful walk and saw the cliffs in all their glory. Well worth the visit and just like we had imagined. We walked down to the port which was also a great experience.
