We walked from Dover up and along the White Cliffs for about 3 hours and it was spectacular. We were fortunate to have a lovely sunny day. The scenery was stunning in all directions - particularly overlooking the channel and port and the cliffs themselves. Knowing the history of the area made it even more special and poignant. More

Whenever travelling home from my many overseas trips, whether by sea or air, the sight of the White Cliffs of Dover brings joy to my heart. Well worth a visit along with the other sites in the area. More

I had a business trip to the London and in the end of the week understood that I must have a break and the big one. I checked the White cliffs and decided this exactly what I need. Since I haven't rented the car, I look into the train and bus option, to get to Dover. Train was pricy, about... More

The climb to the top is really steep, so we took a taxi. We wandered around wishing we had binoculars, not so much to view France as to look at the castle and buildings all around the town. We walked down but half way realised we should have called the taxi again. More

Despite London weather being very... unsatisfying at the moment, we did have sunny day down in Dover, which made the whole experience even better. You can access the cliffs in many ways, but most people usually either go by car (£3 fee) or hike, like I did. The hike from the Dover Priory station is about 40-45 minutes and does... More

We had a beautiful sunny day among many other rainy days, so we really enjoyed our hike up to the top of the cliffs. The views are great and the activity going on in the port below was very absorbing. More
