We went to Dover Cliffs National Trust and paid a small fee to enter. The views were amazing which looked over to Dover port and you can see France on a clear day. Theres plenty of parking with a lovely team room and plenty of places to sit around the centre. Theres a guide at the start which tells you... More

We did a long hike along the White Cliffs on a cool, clear Friday morning in June. Good views of France. They are renovating the main trail, but the alternate trails were fine, and there are many benches to sit on to enjoy the views. Lots of rabbits were present during our hike, probably twice as many now in the... More

If was lovely to be on the moor looking at this geographical icon. The views were spectacular. Did not dislike anything with this attraction.

If you feel energetic then take the lovely cliff path along the White Cliffs of Dover. Overlook the Docks and on a clear day you can see France - stunning!

White cliffs of Dover is a perfect day out for all those looking for an active day away from hustle and bustle of a city. A drive to the place is a breeze, the parking is no problem, the walk is deeply satisfying, the views are breathtaking, the tour of the lighthouse very informative and entertaining and the snack at... This iconic site is amazing. After paying a minimal parking fee, the hike along the cliffs is free and affords you sweeping views of the English Channel and on a clear day, France. There are several paths to choose from with benches and vistas set along the way. You can enjoy a traditional English cream tea at the tea house... More

We went on a warm and sunny day, so the views were magnificent. Take the time to go all the way to the lighthouse (roughly 2 miles one way). It was such a fun and enjoyable day to explore the hillside above the cliffs at our leisure. If it's rainy and cold, I'd say to pack some good hiking shoes... More

We skipped the tour and booked ourselves by taking the train out of Kings Cross. Trains leave about every hour and last one from Dover is around 945pm or 1045pm. It was about 35 pounds per person round trip. We walked from the bus station after getting a bite to eat from the pub across from the station. MUCH CHEAPER... More

Excellent views and walks, if you have a bad head for heights go on the inner paths! National trust car park is £3.50 but worth every penny!

Walking up 150 steps from the nearest bus stop at the eastern Docks may not be for everyone but a breeze reduced the perspiration. The National Trust have a check in point for motorists, but this site is free to non members as well . There is a visitor centre with a café serving three hot lunches and soup. Not... More
