A great experience !! The White Cliffs of Dover . The spectacular views across the English Channel to France are hard to beat. In a clear day the cliffs of France are clearly visible. The famous ferry terminal is a constant hive of interest , great photo opportunities . Car parking available along with a cafeteria and the cliff top... More

Setting sail from Dover, my husband casually pointed out the Cliffs of Dover! Fantastic! Views from the ship were spectacular. I had no idea the Cliffs of Dover would live up to the historic title - so much so those on board stood in awe of the very White Cliffs of Dover. From Trip Advisor reviews, I now understand this... It is a nice and pleasant hike along the cliffs. The paths span a vast area with many photogenic spots. I would recommend going during the cooler spring/autumn months.

The best views are of course from a boat but the views across to France is nice too. One of the easier 'must see's' to visit, so you may as well go and have a look!

Life in London is fast and never stops so it was great to spend a whole day out in such beautiful scenario. Quiet and calming. Highly recommend to everyone who loves the feeling of overpowering nature! Few tips people: 1. do not trust your GPS! Follow signs to get to National Trust Centre and car park (see more: http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/white-cliffs-dover/). We've... More

Definitely worth it. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. It's just a 2.5 hr drive from London to here, and it's worth every second. There are trail that allow you to explore the Cliffs of Dover and its history to the fullest

Since this is a park, you have the freedom to roam the length of the cliffs. There are worn paths to follow which depending on the weather can get muddy. I walked to the lighthouse, which didn't provide much more than you could see from a distance. The beach is no longer accessible since the bridge at the bottom collapsed.... More

We regularly return to the UK to visit relatives. Sometimes we use the ferry connection between Calais and Dover. On a nice day I always try to get out on deck to see the approaching White Cliffs of Dover. They are the sure sign that we are coming home - they never fail to bring a lump to my throat.... More

We started off and ended our Euro trip by crossing the English Channel and the cliffs of Dover was breath taking as we left Dover Port to Calis France. We ensured that we had a good view of the cliffs while having breakfast. Seeing the entire cliff face was also something to behold as we moved further away from the... More
