We had a perfect day for this visit. It was very hot, so walking along the trails provided some welcome breezes. My husband stopped at one of the many viewing places to rest and take in the view and watch the ferries. France was very clear that day. I carried on to the very windy top. A fabulous view and... A lovely spot for a bite of lunch, and to watch the ferries pull into and out of Dover. We had a nice family lunch here and a little wander around and enjoyed our time. Reasonable entrance charge compared to some other places we visited.

Dover had surprised me with all his hidden secrets. And this is one of them. Getting there and having all his views of he Port and the Channel from that height is a nice experience. Besides, it is in your way to the beautiful Castle of Dover.

This venue is under the control of the National Trust. The coastal walk is beautiful and part of it overlooks the very busy ferry port. Lovely view over the English Channel and well worth a visit.

What a great outing for all the family - the walk from the visitors center to the lighthouse takes about 45 minutes with children, and you get some stunning views across the channel and of the ferry port. The national trust charge you for everything though, we were disappointed that we had to pay again to get into the lighthouse... More

For everyone, travelling by boat to Dover, this is the first sight they get from England. With history in mind this is just a must see! A very well organised visitor centre is at cliff top near Dover from where you can wander out.

These didn't disappoint! I was keeping a promise to my dad (WWII veteran) to visit here if I ever got to London. If you can't get a boat tour of the harbour, walk out to the end of the dock to get a better angle. The lady at the tea house there was very friendly. The walk along the cliffs... More

This is a nice place for a walk and there were amazing views of the town, ferry port and over to France. The paths and walk ways are well maintained and it was relatively easy to get around. This is a National Trust maintained site and is therefore free to National Trust for Scotland members.
