Having cashed in a load of Tesco vouchers this was the obvious place to visit for our zoo day...which eased the pain of paying for the 5 of us somwewhat. There's plenty to see and the park is massive...lots of walking required. Firstly we were disappointed that the tree top adventure was closed due to a fault, can't be helped... More

I like the fact that the animals are free to hide away if they wish so it is definitely not like a zoo - you might see certain animals, you might not. However, over the 2 occasions I've been recently I've seen all there is to see and left smiling from ear to ear. There are some really well designed... More

Amassing sights and wonderful animal sightings, I got the feeling that all the animals where happy even though they where caged. I enjoyed the tigers and the apes.

Fantastic range of animals in obviously successful habitats. Bit too much wire in evidence but inevitable unless lots of money to finance toughened glass! Must visit location

I was bought a Gorilla Keeper for the day experience for my 50th birthday. My husband knew my love of gorillas and knew how much I would enjoy the experience. It lived up to and exceeded all my expectations. The keeper's were friendly and helpful. They obviously loved all the gorillas and knew all of their different quirks and personalities.... More

We spent the day at Howletts with our toddler & her grandparents and we all throughly enjoyed it. Beautiful well-cared for animals in large enclosures and a well-planned layout make it easy to see each of the animals and fully enjoy the park. There are lots of beautiful shady spots to enjoy a picnic and for little people to climb... More

We liked the idea of a breeding programme, but in a way this meant less animals on view. To begin with we saw lots of big cats close to, but the truck drive didn't locate many animals. It seemed a long walk at the other end with again little to see, but we were rewarded with the Gorillas' feeding time.... More

I enjoyed a brilliant day as a big cat zoo keeper today and really enjoyed it! i would warn others that it involves handling dead chicks, rabbits, raw meat and I even watched a horse being cut up for meat. Doing/watching these things are optional but some of it was unexpected. I got very close to the cats and hand... More
