I like seeing animals as much as the next person, however paying £20 to enter this zoo (per person!!) did not seem fair, as on the few occasions I have now visited they have unknowingly lead a lot of the animals back into their hidden enclosures early and left me with a disappointed little one. If you want a park... More

......for my nephew. We were staying in nearby Faversham for the week and it was my nephew's 8th birthday. As he is an animal lover, we went to Howletts and had a wonderful day. There were 14 of us aged from 4 - 75 and we all loved it. We paid with Tesco Clubcard vouchers which was brilliant as it... More

it was an ok day at howletts. The animals were fine but it wasnt very well organised. The queue for the coffee machine when you got there was very long and people complaining. The cafe was the other side of the park. All we wanted when arriving was a cup of tea. All the kiosks were closed. When we finally... More

A lovely place to see some rare animals. They have well thought out pens and look well looked after. It just appears that the handling of lots of visitors is not so well managed - buying tickets takes an age (the people in front of us gave up and went elsewhere - the queues appeared not to move at all!).... The park is okay as far animal parks go but seemed confused about the pricing. Got a voucher through the door for £5 off entry fee. However, if you book on line then it's 20% discount which actually equated to £4.35 off. Now, here is the kicker if you want to upgrade your visit so you can visit any time... More

We too our two grandchildren of 8 and 5 last week and cannot have been more disappointed. Pens looked run down and not many animals to see at all. Saw few elephants two lions and some monkeys, few wild boar and deers. We trudged around hoping for glimpses but more often than not - nothing to be seen. Had to... More

Have been visiting this park for over 20 years. The animals are so good to watch where else could you see 12 elephants in one place, gorillas, tigers lions and many more. Very educational and you get a good walk to. Set in a beautiful parkland setting there are trees and so many flowers. Nice play area for the little... More

Better than London Zoo in my opinion for a family with young children. Although entry was expensive, we've ended up with an annual pass that I'm sure we'll use again. The animals look well cared for, the enclosures look stimulating, the variety of species is impressive. A good day out. We took our own picnic but there were plenty of... More

Get there early as the animals wake up, really fascinating and great watching my grandsons eyes taking it all in, loves the tigers & gorillas,. Then onto the play & picnic area also a restaurant but usually take a picnic great on a warm day.
