We'd booked on line and given a specific day. Traveled over 200 miles and it was pouring down. Oh well it's England get on with it. The Women on the desk said they were happy for us to defer until another day (very helpful), but no we went for it. We were told there was only one other couple in... More

We had a lovely day here. The animals were all out as it was a really warm and sunny day. We particularly enjoyed watching the gorillas. The children loved the shop at the end, with all the gorgeous cuddly toys. Stopped for lunch and let the children play in the park which was also really good.

Went to the zoo for the first time last week for my daughter'a birthday. I was very pleasantly surprised! It's very nicely set out with great woody areas and spacious walk ways. You can really get close to the enclosures and there's lots of unusual animals to view. I can't believe that you can return as many times as you... More

This zoo is a marvel. The staff are truly dedicated and the Aspinall family have done so much fabulous preservation work. The animals have spacious and clean surroundings. Facilities excellent! Signposting also well done. Visit Howletts!

Howletts wild park is a nice, well looked after zoo. Two things make me give it an average score: 1. the play ground and restaurant are at the end of the park. After the kids have finished playing and eat they need to walk over a mile back to car park. Bad design and completely inappropriate for young kids. 2.... More

We queued for a very short length of the to buy our tickets and the staff were helpful. We saw most of the animals of which there is a large array. The conservation work with various species is great. I think you need to bear in mind that this is not a zoo and the animals may be out of... More

I took my two-year-old niece to Howletts today and she loved it. All the staff were very welcoming and there is so much to do. The food is a little expensive but that's to be expected, next time I would take a pack lunch. You must try the iced strawberry slurp amazing mmmmmm.

We visited today, an early October Friday. The park was lovely and quiet. Really enjoyed seeing all the animals, the natural feel of the park is great as apposed to a commercialised zoo. The children had great fun in the playground, although feel there could be more for pre school children. Also feel disabled and baby change facilities could do... More

A must see if you're in the Canterbury area. A wide variety of animal in fabulous surroundings. The gorillas especially worth the visit.

Wonderful zoo with a stunning selection of animals. We visited midweek and the zoo was nearly empty of visitors, which was great for us but not so good for for the zoo. Really well laid out and very clean. Restaurant areas were great with good food and drinks. Lovely place.
