A must see if you're in the Canterbury area. A wide variety of animal in fabulous surroundings. The gorillas especially worth the visit.

Wonderful zoo with a stunning selection of animals. We visited midweek and the zoo was nearly empty of visitors, which was great for us but not so good for for the zoo. Really well laid out and very clean. Restaurant areas were great with good food and drinks. Lovely place.

My wife's mum paid for me my wife and my 2 year old to go here because we had some £5 vouchers in the post, Waiting to get into the park took so long. They need a better system for people signing up for year passes. And when they finally opened another till they let the people at the back... More

First trip and got to meet the owner! Although he was quite rude and sarcastic to the staff and they all seemed scared of him it didn't ruin the day. Best animal park I've been to so far, easy to navigate, reasonably priced and excellent restaurant! Recommended.

We have come up to stay in faversham for a long weekend and we're told by a friend who used to live here about the animal park. I bought our tickets on line in advance which is a cheaper option. We arrived at about 10.45am and left just before 6 which is closing time. The animals have access to the... More

This zoo might be quite large, but walking around is not difficult with no massive gradients, Animals have ample space, which adds to a successful breeding programme, What I love most about this zoo are the Elephants and Gorillas. I don't think there's a larger herd of elephants in captivity, and some are very young. I sat for ages watching... More

Have just been to Howletts zoo having previously done an evening safari at Port Lympne. Chose Howletts because was told by staff that the terrain was suited to a two year old. (Definitely need a buggy tho' as it's a long walk back carrying said 2 year old!). Was aware of the great work Aspinall does regarding animal welfare and... More

Thankk god this is not a"zoo". Yes it can be quite expensive to get in but at the end of the day the money is being spent on saving animals. I love the fact that its not like a zoo where the animals seem to be kept in tiny cages, here the enclosures look quite large and the attention to... More

Ensure that you have your working shoes on. Ideal for old and young a like and very user friendly with buggies and wheelchairs. Very well presented and layed out with plenty of seating areas for a sit down, plus pinic areas and places to eat or just have a coffee. For the admission price, you can return as many times... More

Really enjoyed this trip, didn't feel like a zoo more like a country park with animals. Different in that it focuses on rare and endangered animals. Very pleasurable to walk round.
