I love The Marlowe Theatre. It's a bit odd looking from the outside but the venue itself is great. I have been to a handful of different events here and enjoyed it every time. The only problem, and a major one for me (hence 3 stars) is the lack of big name music events. I feel that it would benefit... More

We went to the Marlowe for the Saturday matinee of Hay Fever and enjoyed it very much, seated in Row D in the stalls. Seats OK but not the most comfortable after the first half hour. Reading other reviews on here it seems there is an on-going problem with the sound, for the first few minutes the actors were all... More

Looking forward to 'An Evening With Roger Moore' Turned up around 7pm to pick up tickets for an evening with Roger Moore to find out that it was in fact an afternoon with Roger Moore. Asked to speak to the manager, who said that the time was clear on our tickets -we pointed out that we hadn't yet collected them!... More

on the off chance we secured tickets to see Hayfever at the Marlowe whilst on a weekend trip to Canterbury. The theatre is a stunning modern building which looks amazing at night when floodlit. Inside the auditorium is quite breathtaking but found the bar area cold and uninviting....no seating!!! Cafe area too small. Plus point...plenty of toilets. Hayfever was a... More

Food was OK but more like a pub than restaurant. The staff very pleasant and attentive. Needs to improve to get repeat business.

Well once again a theatre that seems to be ride and arrogant to it's customers.. Always tell a business that will not receive criticism when there is no feedback system on their website. I have seen many shows here and most are superb, but actually trying to book tickets can be a nightmare . Their on line website booking is... More

Been to the theatre a couple of times now and really recommend it! If you can are able to book directly at the theatre then I strongly recommend it as you don't have to pay booking fees.

Went to Gala Night at the Proms. Nice theatre - not too big and comfortable seating. Good bar service at interval - no trouble getting served.

Went to Singalonga Grease last night & had a fabulous time with lots of laughter, reminiscing and of course singing. I would also like to thank The Marlowe for appreciating my recent opinion regarding the disappointing performance of Oliver, for admitting that this had not been marketed appropriately & for giving us a full refund in acknowledgement.
