The new Marlowe is all it should be very comfortable seating, big stage area reasonable bar prices and something for everyone including plenty of straight from London shows

Went to watch the Panto on Sunday 30th December 2012. This was my first visit since the revamp and it impressed! The theatre is new but still has that old school feel to it - which is great. Seats were comfortable and the whole place was spotless. Great show, even though the Marlowe can seat a lot more the venue... More

We have been several times since its relaunch, the latest being last night to see Julian Clary ( who was absolutely brilliant). Every time we go I wish we had the old theatre back. The new one is completely lacking, it has no character what so ever. The bar areas take minimalism to extreme and are uninspiring. The restaurant area... More

I went in place of a friend who was ill. The ballet was lovely but don't like the upper stalls as I don't like heights and in the interval it was a long way to go for an ice cream. The building is not liked by many of the Canterbury residents. The downside is that the cost of the seats... More

I have visited the Marlowe twice recently and have enjoyed the visits immensely. Although the bar and foyer areas are busy before a production this is to be expected. I liked the toilets being availalbe on the grounds floor and so close to the theatre doors too. We popped over the road for a quick drink in the internal and... More

This theatre looks great from the outside but that really is about it. Lacks any atmosphere and must be some of the most uncomfortable seats in theatre land. Why oh why did they pull the old one down ? Total waste of money !

I am a regular to the Marlowe and I love the venue. I consider us lucky to have a theatre that attracts a good mix of theatre music and tonight was a highlight for me - Suggs - My life story in words and music - OK I admit I am a fan of Madness but it really was a... More

Went to see Dirty Dancing and thought the show was enjoyable. However, I paid £75 each to get good seats in row A (circle) and whilst the view was superb the leg room was less than easy jet. Okay I am over 6 ft but my knees were crushed against the barrier in front of the seats, my wife is... More
