Great tribute singers - sounded very true to the original. However did think they could have more interesting lighting to enhance the show. The real disappointment was that, as we were sitting near the back of the Upper Circle, all the projection pictures were only half visible - the real Simon and Garfunkel were headless most of the time !... The Marlowe books some great acts and musicals and I think we are so lucky to have such a great theatre in Canterbury. People moan about the design but I personally think the mix of new and old is great design in Canterbury.

Had booked tickets to see Jeeves and Wooster and it was outstanding. Brilliant show, although we had booked seats C1 and C2 and due to some of the stage props, it did exclude us from seeing the whole stage, which was annoying. The Marlowe itself is really lovely now its been transformed but the seats are sooooo uncomfortable. I sat... More

We recently visited the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury for the first time. We really liked it; a nice theatre, with good facilities and well organised service. The play that we had come to see, Jeeves and Wooster in A Perfect Nonsense was absolutely superb, so imaginatively done, very very funny and it really drew the audience in - simply brilliant.... Saw this ballet at the Marlowe Theatre on Saturday night and it was absolutely fantastic! The dancers were just amazing, the costumes were beautiful and the whole performance was simply magical. We loved it! We were lucky to be centrally seated in stalls and found the theatre to be very well managed, with plenty of bar staff to cope with... More

Saw Joan Armatrading at The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury last night. She is still a very good singer considering she has been in the business now for over 40 years. My only criticism of the event is that she did not have her own band and did everything on her own. There were certain songs which needed to be backed with... More

This is a very small theatre but very nice. However do be aware that despite it being purpose built there are some seats that still have a restricted view, even tho they are still pricey. There is a very nice restaurant attached to the venue. One really annoying thing is that whichever way you get your tickets they put an... More

Acrobatic, contemporary, and well choreographed innovative circus show. Don't think trapeze artists at the circus, think more Cirque du Soleil in terms of strength, balance, daring and charm. The theme of the show is escapism from the boring 9 to 5 monotony and was very entertaining. This touring show had already been to London for 11 days, is currently at... More

Absolutely fantastic show. As good as any west end show. Lovely modern theatre. Even sitting in the back row you get a great view.
