Since the Marlowe's refurbishment, the interior is very modern and comfortable. There are no seats that do not have excellent views of the stage, however my only criticism would be that there is no centre aisle, therefore when booking seats on the end of a row are preferable. There were some sound problems during the second half of the show,... More

We were regular visitors to the old Marlowe Theatre - we always enjoyed it but were often quite a long way from the stage. The seating arrangement of the new theatre has totally fixed this, so even the cheaper seats get a really good view of the action. It's more compact but doesn't feel claustrophobic at all - really well... More

I've been here the last 2 years to see the Xmas panto and the cast/ production have been excellant. Some people have commented on leg room but it is a theatre- I'm 5ft11 and I didn't feel cramped any more than you would expect. The building is fairly new and so has lots of ramps, spacious lifts so disabled access... More

Great theatre, nice and clean. Superb wheelchair access and amazing friendly staff. Recommend going whatever the performance. It's certainly a must during pants season.

I recently went to a local amateur performance group production of Oliver at the Marlowe theatre. Although not a parent of the cast or a friend of the Marlowe, I was thoroughly impressed by the professional set and costumes, the dynamic and enthusiastic performances of the 170 strong young cast, and the very convincing lead vocals, particularly of Fagin and... I recently went to see an amateur production of Oliver Twist at the Marlowe theatre. I was aware it was an amateur production as it was advertised as such so I felt a little sad reading some of the negative reviews of this production. My self, partner and 8 year old daughter had a fantastic evening and thought the talent... More

Excellent show, bit slow at the start but once it got going it was great. Really enjoyed it, the singer acting as Rod Stewart had an amazing voice - well done to all the cast.

First can i say how sad it is that people always find the time to write a bad review and never a good one ,so here goes. I watched Oliver on the Saturday evening performance and was amazed at such a young cast putting on such a great performance. Fagin captured the character perfectly and his interaction with the audience... More

The Marlowe is trying hard. It has a good variety of programmes during the year. Pricing reasonable. If you are 5 foot 6inches or over ask for an extra cushion! seating and legroom is cramped!!!

I am not going to review any individual show seen at the theatre as seen far too many since the "new" Marlowe opened. The theatre is very modern with a large open foyer with one set of stairs leading up to the circle and upper circle levels. These stairs get very congested on leaving the theatre after a show and...
