For children's shows this theatre is perfect, been lucky enough to take mine to a couple, and it has thrilled them, however the following merchandise is obscenely priced (£8 toy, £2.50 ice cream, £6 balloon the list goes on) but the kids have a great times and the sell tickets fairly for these shows at a good cost per ticket... Excellent theatre with very good views, comfortable seats and sound system/acoustics. We saw Fascinating Aida on a Tuesday and then next night Eric Morecombe. Both enjoyable. Plenty of toilets and efficient refreshments staff during the intervals. We had a long walk back to our hotel as there is no local car parking and no taxi rank , that we could... More

The theater is fantastic. Great sound and view. Many good local and national productions. No dislikes about it.

Lots of shows, to see. Things to do. Many West End shows. \good seating, but choose where you sit. Some seats can not have a full view of the stage. Some West End prices also.

This show was West End quality. Marti Pellow and his Evita (Magdalena) were both amazing, as was the rest of the cast. We loved it and the theatre is fantastic.

Thought show was very good although hard to make out what Evita was singing sometimes. have been to a lot of quality shows at the Marlowe, biggest gripe is no centre aisle which means 15 people often have to get up if someone is late to their seat. Also there is always a terrible crush at the end with everyone... More

Saw Evita here which was excellent. Have seen at at the west end and paid four times as much. Stage scenery was also fantastic. Credit to them. We did find the sound a bit distorted and sometimes couldn't understand what they said. Singing ok as we know the songs.

Was so relieved to see that this theatre is radically modern - Canterbury is steeped in its past and it is wonderful to see the present so beatifully there . Hope to book a play next time I go down there. Most of the restaurants in town have a pre-theatre menu on offer and there are lots of hotels around... More

Love the theatre but what happened to its user friendliness? Seats to use before the show are very limited and no imagination seems to be used to add more. Come on start helping out here and put more seats in the foyer. The parking nearby is useless on a Saturday matinee time and us older folk need to sit down... More
