Well laid out with plenty of good information and helpful staff. Well worth a couple of hours. The signing for the entrance is odd, it implies you enter through a closed door, just carry on down the road a few yards and you will see it.

This is a great place on a wet day. Loved the photographic exhibition currently on. Interesting and well laid out historical sight.

I must admit £8 did seem a bit steep to get in, but don't be put off by the small entrance - it's really big inside with lots of artifacts. It traces the chronological, social and geographical history of Canterbury and as I didn't really know anything about it I found it very informative. What surprised me is the modernity... More

Amazing artefacts - so glad we went. For a couple of pounds or so extra each we bought a multiple entry ticket which saved us about £8 each to go into the Roman museum too. Out of the two museums the heritage was certainly the best

We found this well presented and quite enjoyable. My 12 year old found sufficient to keep her interest, including some 'hands on' exhibits, and we enjoyed some of the big historic diagrams of Canterbury over the years, and comments on famous locals. Trip down memory lane with the Rupert Bear museum, and Oliver Postgate characters.

The wife and I had a very enjoyable visit to the museum. The items within gave a great insight into the history of Canterbury and the surrounding area. Well worth a visit

Everything you'd expect of a museum - historical content is very informative although does get a little sporadic, random and confusing at times.

An excellent look into the past of Canterbury from Stone Age to more modern times. Lovely little museum of Rupert the bear and Bagpuss. Children would like to see more exhibits as they got bored easily with so many artefacts out of their eye line. Also a few more child friendly exhibits would be a plus.

I dont think my 10 year old was to impressed on an educational day in the summer holidaysbut i thought it would be lovely to teach the kids about there beautiful Canterbury and luckily she ended up enjoying it very much, especially the bagpuss bit. We all came away feeling very knowledgeable and loved learning all the history.
