Extremely interesting museum, with a great variety of exhibits of interest to all ages. I particularly loved the Rupert the Bear display and the Oliver Postgate's Thomas Becket story, whilst my other half really enjoyed the Joseph Conrad exhibit. Furthermore, the staff went out of their way to have a chat with us about the museum and were very friendly... More

Very intersting museum about Canterbury from the stone age until the 1950s. I learned a lot. It was a pleasure to visit the museum for the whole family. More

If you pay £10 you get into Roman Museum too. This is a lot more interesting than most town museums. Highlights the Nobel prize winning author Joseph Conrad's study and chess set as he replays a Capablanca game. Oliver Postgate's Bayeux tapestry like history of Thomas a Beckett. Possible marble fragments of Beckett's memorial destroyed by Henry 8. More

The museum was great historically We particularly liked through the ages things have not really changed that much. Great to see what our mothers had in their homes in the sixties. Good for children with parties being held there. More

Some good exhibits and tells the story of the City, but at £8 entry per person the place were empty. One of my party wanted to see the original Bagpuss as he is currently residing within so it was worth it for that alone for her. More

They had some interesting exhibits such as the anglo saxon coins, the Bayeaux or Canterbury Tapestry bit, and the hair of woolley mammoth. The rooms were arranged according to era which made it less of a mish mash. There didn't seem to be that many exhibits though, it seemed to be consisted of lots of posters suitable for children, these... More
