My boyfriend took me for a jokey birthday present. The history was interesting and the tour guide very funny. I think it also helped that we had a large group of people that actually joined in. All in all a fun and enjoyable experience.

Tour guide was really funny, informative and approachable. Created a great atmosphere around the group too! Will definitely recommend to my friends.

Fun, informative, kooky, informal. This was a good way to spend an hour or so wandering round Canterbury. It opened my eyes to loads of little things about Canterbury that I just hadn't noticed before. Could have walked a little further, maybe visited a few more sites and spoken even more about the history of the place but overall a... More

For my final year project at the University of Kent, I decided to do a promotional film about poster on the Canterbury Ghost Tour. John kindly agreed to this, an interviews with voice overs. The tour itself was light hearted and John was extremely charismatic with a wealth of knowledge. I went on the tour a couple of times to... More

Ok, the tour was less spooky and mystic as maybe expected but we enjoyed every single minute. We had a lot of fun - actually we laughed a lot on this tour and the stories that were told were very interesting! The ghost hunter did an excellent job - plus: his German was quite good ;o) Thank you and I... More

I bought tickets for this tour off Groupon as part of a Christmas present for my family. They always enjoy history and things about ghosts so i thought it'd be something nice for them to do. We were all disappointed (Me and my family) in the tour. The tour guide made too many jokes which ruined the whole experience, i... More

Four of us went out on the tour, no expectations, just a short walk covering a few of the local buildings and what happened back in the dark ages. The guide although funny at times tended to waffle on, said he had been doing it for 20 years perhaps a bit stale, also a bit rude as there were young... More

I would not recommend this tour at all. We gathered at the meeting point in which the light hearted humour seemed welcomed by many as we waited for people to gather. The tour then began and I can honestly say this is the worst tour of Canterbury my party and I have experienced. The tour had no information, stories or... More

To kick this off I wouldn't call myself a believer or a ghost hunter by any means, but this was truly was a brilliant tour. I have lived in Canterbury all my life and not once stopped to appreciate the local history including the staggering old buildings that Canterbury offers. This really opened my eyes to the amazing and slightly... More

Thank you so much for the lovely review, I enjoyed the tour that night, and as I can read from your review you did too. Sadly not everyone understood my sense of humour and lightheartedness as is given by the other review on the same night. But as I remind myself on a daily basis, I have an 83.5% approval... More
