A beautiful garden with fountain it is well maintained and the view of the city and the surrounding Kent countryside from the top of the mound was spectacular.

There was a lovely view from the top and the gardens are laid out nicely. Lots of grass areas with lots of space and fresh air!

A walk through this garden along the river bank as punts slowly glide by - you can't beat it. Particularly if it's a gorgeous warm Spring day as well, though of course it gets busy when the sun is out.

Well kept gardens and gret views over the city from the top of the mound. Worth a visit particularly on a warm sunny day.

We used the Park as a shortcut to the town from our hotel. We climbed to the top of the mount and got some good photos from there of the city and surroundings. The park has a fountain and gardens and a small place you can buy a tea or sandwiches if you need.

Worth a stroll through or you can stop and sit in the sun, sometimes there's lots of school kids around playing football but if that doesn't bother you then it's definitely worth a visit!

Dane John Gardens may not be the biggest gardens around, but it's certainly one of the loveliest. I always here going there to relax, enjoying the sun and do some people-watching!

We were lucky as, although it was February, the sun was shining as we strolled along the city wall and back to the car park via the gardens. What a beautiful spot! There's a war memorial, a bandstand, a fountain and, the mound! Dating back to the first century AD it's well worth a stroll up to the top for... More

Although flooded (the Big one of 2014) the Mott and Roman wall were accessible. The gardens and Georgian houses surrounding were beautiful, with alot of interesting sculptures and a bandstand. Its really like a small history lesson as there are things from many different time periods and it is interesting to see how these were used over the last couple... More
