Pretty flowers surrounded by elegant houses

Worth walking through as the gardens are well kept and the surrounding housing very elegant. Access to the city walls is easy at this point.

Fabulous area with great green spaces and trees. Do walk up The Mount to get a great roofscape view of the City.

What a lovely tiny space of green in a busy city, you can relax and forget where you are, I ran amok as a child his there as a teenager and now sit and watch the world go by as a semi retired who can't afford to visit the cathedral anymore

Wonderful gardens spoilt by drunks shouting and leaving bottles everywhere on sunny weekends. I am surprised there aren't tighter drinking controls in this public park.

My husband and I walked through these gardens after walking along the old city walls and visiting the Castle. On first entering the gardens we were greeted with the smell of booze and the sight of dirty bedding. Nearby were a group of people, who by their accents were not UK citizens! Not a great start, but once we'd walked... More

I go hear all the time with the family, it is a place were everyone can visit and you can meet new people. my little brother wanted to play footie with the big lads and they welcomed him in to the match as if he was there mate. so lovely and friendly, defiantly a place to visit for a picnic... Empty beer cans and broken beer bottles in evidence discouraging families. You get the feeling that more drunks than tourists inhabit these gardens. Pity, they could be very nice with a little care.

Lovely gardens during the day for a quiet walk and solitude. Be aware that on Friday and Saturday nights it can be infested with young people drinking, urinating against trees and swearing
