Our B & B recommended that we take the Canterbury Punting tour because they would be willing to take just my son and I if we were the only ones who were waiting. And she was right. Their tour is definitely worth walking just a bit farther down the main road. You can find them just a bit further past... More

Expensive at full price, but plenty of discounts on offer, just ask, even with a discount it's still quite expensive for 40 minutes. Old town tour was great with interesting history and worthwhile.

On arriving in Water Lane the company is badly organised selling tickets over the cafe counter and not knowing what time you will be able to take a trip, when underway we went upstream which is a total waste of time except for viewing building sites and blocks of flats nothing much else to see, I understand going downstream is... While spending the weekend in Canterbury for our anniversary, we couldn't have been luckier with the weather - hot and sunny - perfect! So what better to do, than a trip up the river stour. We had been approached by a number of companies, attracting us to their boat trips, but in the end, we were sold by the Canterbury... More

We loved the traditional flat boat that allowed us to lie lazily while being just few inches from the water. The guide was knowledgeable and funny. Absolutely a must!

The boats are great, you can lie flat or sit up, and they are punting boats rather than the noisy and plasticy rowing type boats. The route was okay, not much to see but relaxing. The tour guide was knowledgeable and quite funny. Whether going as a group or as a couple I would definitely recommend this to end your... More

This company, based on a side street a little off the beaten track, offers punting trips which are slightly cheaper than those of the competitors (GBP8 per adult, versus GBP 9 or 10 on the high street. Their guides are conversant in English and French, and as of April 2014, they were planning to add a German speaker. The punt... More

Sadly a very disappointing trip. Having researched online we made the trip down to Canterbury. Once ON the punt we were told due to the current we would be taken up stream. For 40 minutes, we viewed flats, scaffolding and branches. No history at all. Although, this would have been fine as a relaxed trip along the river, it was... More

There are three river companies to chose from in Canterbury. This one has more of a historical focus and punts rather than rows. The staff are very friendly and the guide provided some good insight into the sights along the river and was able to answer questions. We turned up towards the end of the day and had to wait... More
