This is a hidden gem and we would totally recommend taking the punt with the knowledgeable guide. It takes about 40 minutes and you will see a different side to Canterbury from the water and the punt! Get ready to duck as you go under buildings and bridges! Very friendly staff too. We also used the Punting Company cafe, where... More

An excellent 40 minutes relaxing in a boat with a very pleasant guide who explained the history and ecology of the River Stour and associated water meadows in Canterbury. Very good value and a great way to spend time on a boat in the sun.

Relaxing on a punt, sitting comfortably wrapped in a blanket, beneath enchanting old buildings, with witty, informative, commentary. We were stopped in the street by a young man directing us there, which we had not intended, but it was a perfect 40 minutes. I have a disability, and there were steep steps down to the river, which they helped me... More

Our guide was very knowledgable so we learned a ton about Canterbury, while enjoying views that you can only get from the river. Very relaxing float...we ended up taking back to back trips - one into the city, and the other upstream into the countryside. Uncrowded and relaxing - great way to spend some time and reasonably priced.

We went for a weekend in Canterbury and decided we wanted to take one of the boat trips operating along the river stout. We decided to go with the punting trip as the lad at the stool was very helpful and apologetic when there was no one there for a couple of minutes. We went round to the cafe where... More

This was a friendly, informative relax way to see a piece of historic Canterbury. The punts are comfy look right on the river Stour. Better than the row boats which work on the same river. The price was reasonable. Will be doing the coutryside trip as opprosed to the city tour next time.

On 8 September 4 of us went on a punt with our guide Sam. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip very interesting with all kinds of little anecdotes along the way. He was also very skilled with manoeuvering the punt. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip on a beautiful sunny evening. Also the staff were very helpful and accommodating... More

We took a tour with Ian, who was very knowledge about the local area. The trip (starting downstream) was very interesting with plenty to see. Interesting for the children as well as we had to negotiate so very low tunnels. Definitley worth a visit if your in Canterbury and the weather is fine.

My wife and I stayed for a night in canterbury and as to add a little surprise I decided I wanted to take her on the river tour, after looking at the choices available this was only one that ticked all the boxes. I went down to the coffe house where they are run from, and spoke with a delightful... More
