This was truly the best experience, especially if you are lucky enough to get on a boat with a young lady that has the most beautiful singing voice, sorry I cannot remember her name, she is a student, so you need to visit when its the students holiday, if not I am sure I would still go, she was an... This tour was a waste of money, it didn't go very far up the river and going under a bridge was as exciting as it got. The river tour by the Westgate towers is much better and there's more to see!

The river is a canal cut off of the Stour but it's a lovely little trip and Henry kept us interested and informed with lots of local knowledge and stories. I particularly enjoyed... More

Very interesting, enjoyable boat tour. Captain Henry was informative, enthusiastic and fun! I would suggest that visitors to Canterbury take a boat tour especially on a nice day.

Took a tour with friends, led by Captain Tarquin. It was very entertaining and informative and would recommend to anyone visited Canterbury. It does go by very quickly but we thought it value for money. Even though it was peak tourist season when we visited, we had to wait for a tour so I'd recommend that you book your preferred... More

Even if you have a fair knowledge of Canterbury's great history, this trip can still teach you something. There is even a witching stool on the bank which they claim was actually used to dunk poor females alleged to be witches. If they survived, they were truly witches, so they drowned them anyway. If they drowned, they were deemed to... More

My nan decided she wanted to take myself and my boys on a river tour, to keep her happy I agreed. We got into the boat, boys excited and me hoping the 40 minutes would go quick, thinking it would be boring! How wrong was I, I enjoyed every minute of it! Being local I knew some of the information... More

Have done this trip twice with visitors to Canterbury and they loved it. The guys are great fun. Find out lots of information you did not know about the town and history.

For someone who does not know the history of Canterbury, taking this river cruise will be a good option. The guides or "punters" are very well trained and the company does not even make you pay for the tickets upfront ... you only pay at the end of the boat ride if you are happy with the service !! If... More
