Our witty and informative guide was Matt Coates. The tour was filled with interesting historic facts, word etymologies, & hilarious jokes. At one point in the tour he even showed us how barges would have been moved underneath the bridges by laying on the boat and walking across the bridges bottom. This was definitely one of our highlights in Canterbury!

Matt was really friendly, made it fun . I think this is £8.50 per... More

I went on the boat ride with my parents and 8 year old son, we all had a great time and came off more knowledgeable about Canteerbury than when we went on, we had the luck of getting George aka Captain Blackbeard as our tour guide/rower, he was good fun and full of knowledge and was able to answer all... Despite having lived in Kent for 18 years or more, some of them actually in Canterbury, I had never done this before and neither had my parents. So we decided to do this over the summer and it was fantastic. Extremely informative and interesting with lovely views. Our Captain George was absolutely brilliant and was definitely the highlight of the... More
