This was a fabulous trip for a really hot July day. Gliding down the River with our very knowledgeable and fascinating guide George (Captain Blackbeard). So much nicer than trudging around the streets in the heat. It was great fun and I only wish it could have gone on longer than the hour. I would certainly recommend this as a... More

Our guide, Henry, was brilliant! He knew so much about the places we saw as well as many of the urban myths too. Really friendly, good fun and included everyone on the boat. The singing under the bridge was pretty good too!

This river trip was a complete delight from beginning to end. Tarquin, our Captain, certainly knew his stuff and his easy, jovial style made it all the more enjoyable. We have lived in the East Kent for 15 years and have been in and around Canterbury a lot but once on the river we didn't have a clue as to... More

This was an excellent way to spend 40 minutes and see parts of the City that you might not normally see and certainly not from that particular angle! Our guide was George and he provided a well informed commentary full of historical, biological and local points of interest, all provided in an easy going and humorous delivery. Highly recommended if... More

Captain George was a well informed and jovial guide on this tour. His however his tremendous bushy beard failed to stifle the sound of his puny one liners as he recounted the points of interest along the short stretch of the river stour that the tour takes in. In all fairness the history was well recounted and added to the... More

We decided to give this tour a go after reading the positive reviews and we were not disappointed. All the guides were friendly and helpful. My sister sometimes suffers from motion sickness but that was not a problem with the sedate motion of the boat. Our guide Matt provided a great tour (roughly 45 min), very entertaining and full of... A delightful leisurely boat ride through Canterbury's tributary. Kriss (our guide) presented us with plenty of knowledge about some of the city's history. Good value for money and worth a "punt" If you are interested. Calm waters mean that kids are safe in 3 feet of water and wife that gets seasick in the bath had no troubles.

All of the guides were very friendly and polite and helpful they were students and were doing the tours in the summer holidays. Well worth a visit would recommend to everybody. The tour was really nice, the place beautiful, the boy who took us around the most friendly and brilliant, I don't remember his name, but he was the one who looks like Harry Potter!
