Buckets and buckets of colour, smells and flowers. A very nice place to visit. Only open a couple of months a year, but well worth the visit and the rarity of access adds to the allure.

Have wanted to come here for years and was not disappointed. Took hundreds of photos and smelt the roses! Bought some for gifts too. Signage from roads could be better as we went all round the back lanes- narrow and a bit scary. Café has good cake too

I had a wonderful morning strolling around the beautiful gardens, although I wish I had taken my secateurs with me. I never saw one person deadheading and they were in need of it. Not as nicely kept as the rose gardens at David Austin. There were no staff in the grounds to chat to either. The shop was disappointing as... More

Unlikely to amuse young children but for anyone who enjoys gardening a chance to get close up with a huge variety of blooms. As the flowers change with the months several visits can be rewarding. As a reluctant gardener I could still enjoy the colours and perfumes and get ideas for using roses in my own patch. The site is... More

We went to that garden a long way only to find out that it is closed since August 2 (but on google it had to be opened). We Stand in front of a fence and saw hundreds of roses blooming. So we were not able to understand why it is closed as we have Summer holidays now. We were very... More

A wonderful place to visit and we managed to visit on the penultimate day of the 2015 season. The gardens are only open when the roses are in bloom and looking their best. There are huge varieties of roses on display grouped together into various families of rose and a lot of information on display. This place really is an... More

Spent a few hours enjoying the fragrance and sight of roses and the lovely trees and ponds. The tea shop served delightful cakes and scones and there was the choice of sitting inside or out. A bonus was the butterfly garden adjoining the area. Had to pay separately for each place but there was a discount if you visited both.... More

Really lovely place, beautiful roses and other flora, all really nicely presented. Calm and peaceful. Dog friendly. Nice tea room with some yummy cakes! £12 for two adults, two kids and a dog (kids and dog were basically free).

At this time of year the gardens are heavenly. I first went over twenty years ago, and although I live 15 minutes away, have only just gone back there to take a friend from out of town. We visited together mid June, and everything there was perfect. SInce I last went, the parking and reception have been made over, and... More
