Stunning Garden so many Roses, you will lose yourself amongst the Roses if your a big fan! Lots of nice nooks and crannys. A great place for the Photographer with there Digital SLR Camera's. Sad to say it's only open June till August, I went at the end of July and they close on 2nd August, I found many species... More

Spent a few hours enjoying the fragrance and sight of roses and the lovely trees and ponds. The tea shop served delightful cakes and scones and there was the choice of sitting inside or out. A bonus was the butterfly garden adjoining the area. Had to pay separately for each place but there was a discount if you visited both.... More

Really lovely place, beautiful roses and other flora, all really nicely presented. Calm and peaceful. Dog friendly. Nice tea room with some yummy cakes! £12 for two adults, two kids and a dog (kids and dog were basically free).

At this time of year the gardens are heavenly. I first went over twenty years ago, and although I live 15 minutes away, have only just gone back there to take a friend from out of town. We visited together mid June, and everything there was perfect. SInce I last went, the parking and reception have been made over, and... More

Does exactly what it says on the tin! Beautiful, tranquil gardens full of roses and other plants & flowers (including 3 ponds with fish!) Plenty of space to stretch out and have a quiet picnic during the time you're there, and for just £6 entrance it really is a fine place to spend a few hours wandering around calmly. The... More

For those that like roses, this is the place for you ! All types of roses in delightful surroundings. Take your camera and a notebook. Most roses are marked and staff are incredibly helpful. Some roses for sale. Pleasant tearoom at rear Don't bring kids. Only open during rose season.

My wife and I visited the gardens on what we thought would be a quiet midweek day. We enjoyed seeing a large variety of roses and it was great that the planting enabled us to get up close to many to check the scents and note the names of ones we liked. In the café, there were a couple of... More

I have been here a few times now and each occasion has resulted in a pleasant experience. I went on a day which was very hot and, roses liking sun, it was a day for trying to find seats in the shade. There are plenty of seats but not a lot out of the sun. Nearly all the roses are... More

I went outside of their regular season for a special event held there. I certainly want to return at peak season to see the roses in full bloom.

This garden has developed into something really special. It is both decorative and informative, with lovely beds showing gorgeous planting ideas, shaded tunnels through rose arches, a peaceful water feature and seating in both open areas and arbours for quietly soaking up the atmosphere. There is also a series of beds which display systematically the different groups of old roses,... More
