We did the tour (£8) and walked around with the guide who told us lots of interesting facts about westons ciders and the way cider was made in the 1900's and how it is made today. Love the fact that its a family run buisness and the history behind that! The tasting at the end was ok. exactly what it... More

We visited the Cider Mill as part of a day out from the AgeUK Springboard Centre in Brierley Hill.It was a very interesting tour .The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and the hour just whizzed by .Sampling at the end was really nice way to end the tour and we came away with a whole load of bottles from... A working cider mill tour, very informative and interesting, the tour starts at the original farm house then takes you round the entire process of making cider from apple ( or pear) to bottled product. A tasting session at the end of the tour allows you to make an informed choice of which cider or perry to buy to sample... More

I particularly liked the fact that on this tour we were taken around the actual workings rather than a sanitised "visitor experience". Tour included all aspects of the cider making process, even viewing one of the original orchards and the old oak barrels. Do make sure you are dressed for the tour, which includes (possibly) slippery paths and many stops... More

The tour was excellent, informative and enjoyed by all. The guide was knowledgeable and allowed time for us to see everything. The highlight was the original oak barrels which have to be seen to be believed as well as the tasting afterwards. We were offered four of the standard ciders and then had the chance to taste anything else we... More

This tour was very informative and interesting. A worthwhile visit especially as you could sample the various types of cider and perry made there afterwards. The shop sold all the varieties made at reduced prices. There was good play area for children there too.

For £8 a head forget it, really poor VFM. Tour is less than an hour and then pathetic sampling from 4 ciders in a plastic thimble. I live near Ferndown and do the Ringwood Brewery Tour regularly, that's a real tour, this is Mickey Mouse in comparison, just forget it and save £8. Just to compare I pay £7 for... More

This tour would probably be interesting when the apples are being pressed and you could see the full product from apple to bottle (and sampling). We went in mid July when there is very little to see apart from some old vats. The only interesting thing was when we stood in the gallery overlooking the bottling plant and saw the... More

We have been to Westons many times, but we took my son-in-law on Saturday for the first time so that he could sample and purchase some cider. Imagine my embarrassment when the two people serving in the shop were very unhelpful. We had to almost beg before we were allowed to sample some of the ciders. My husband asked about... More

The tour was very good and good value for money - the free gift was lovely. The lunch in the restaurant was really nice too, good selection, innovative use of cider in most dishes, food was freshly prepared. The grounds and plants are beautiful. Really novel and interesting visit. Shop was well stocked with reasonable priced cider and other produce... More
