This is a small, intimate house and the guided tour is extremely interesting. The grounds are delightful and the home made cake that accompanies the tea is particularly recommended. We have been to musical evenings here as well which have a lovely atmosphere.

We found Hellens a great place to visit very unlike many other stately homes. The house itself is eccentric and has lots of items from a long history. The guide was excellent interesting and querky like the house itself. The range if paintings was stunning in such a small house. We didn't have anything in the tea room but it... More

Four of us visted on Easter Sunday. Had tea and cakes in front of a blazing log fire before going on the tour of the house. The tour lasted about an hour and Donna, our guide, gave us an interesting talk about the history of Hellens and its various owners through the ages.

Visited here in the summer and went on the tour of the house - what an amazing building! Lots of history and a great place for a trip out. Garden pretty fantastic too - will be going again!

We wanted something to do local to Ledbury and came across this place on line. They just run tours at set times on weekends so plan for that and check the times ahead. We had a quaint tea and cakes while waiting which was very nice, albeit very slow to be served, great cakes though! The tour was excellent and... More

We didn't even know this was there until I went searching for local country homes that were open to he public. So glad that we found it! You have to go on a tour to enter the house and they run hourly from 2pm. The guide was very knowledgeable and the history of the house is fascinating. It's well worth... More

I liked the way it felt lived in - as parts of it still are. The guide made it interesting and tea and cake in the garden made an ideal finish to the trip.

You get a real sense of history as you are guided round this very old manor house. It is amazing how it is still standing and yet being used for all sorts of events including the owner entertianing guests there some times.

We would never have found this place if it wasn't for our B&B landlady! This was the highlight of our weekend in the area. The tour guide was brilliant, young and full of enthusiasm. An hour+ passed so quickly that it seemed like we had only just started! We were on the last tour of the day 20/05/2012. I can't... More
