Stopped off at Monklands Cheese Dairy for coffee and cake. First noticed garden plants for sale - small number of unusual varieties. Small coffee shop with a good range of cakes and also a small shop with their own cheeses and other artisan cheeses. Took part in tour of the dairy with a very clear and interesting explanation of how... More

We were lucky to arrive as a tour group was setting off so we got straight in with no booking, even if this hadn't been the case there was only a 20 minute wait with a lovely tea shop to keep you occupied. The visit was interesting & informative & the cheese maker / owner told us about every aspect... More

Really pleased to come across this little gem on our travels, the sign said cheese making, cheese shop .... Fab! Nothing like watching the pro's in action and sampling the wares before purchase. Arrived to find it was JUST a shop and a small cafe, with very few tasters available other than the 5 they make on site. No offer... More

Advertised as cheese making so we called. It was a shop and a cafe. A very nice shop with lots of interesting cheeses and chutneys. Managed to spend £20.00 but didn't see any cheese making which is what we called for. Bit disappointed with that.

A great little diary and shop for trying and buying local cheese. Not just from Herefordshire either, good stock of some very nice Welsh cheese! Have hidden the purchases well away from the kids!!! We had tea and warm scones (with all the works) on a beautiful day and it was lovely to sit in the garden and just enjoy... More

Fab place to try and buy cheese, we had the cheese plater for lunch a fab way to try their cheeses, plenty to eat, great Crakers and bread, and if you don't manage it all dogy bags are available, great place to chill outside in the sunshine

Excellent tour around the cheese making dairy - guide was clear and interesting. Happy to let the children come back to watch the different stages of the making. Cafe served great food - definitely recommend the Monkland and Little Hereford cheese.

you need to arrive here for coffee, if you are lucky you will be served by the ownerMark, then go to see the cheeses being made by his wife Karen. If you have timed it right, lunch will be being served when you have done the tour, so another delight awaits, everything is home made and the bread is made... More
