Delightful insight as to how life was like for the wealthy in Hereford. Beautifully maintained and worth a visit. It can be difficult for disabled vistors as it is very old and as expected have stairs to climb and the floor in uneven in parts. Having said that I would highly recommend this attarcion is one of the best old... More

The fact that the house is located so handily in the center of the shopping district and that admission is free, I would recommend a visit to anybody whether interested in history of not. The house is truly stunning and the furniture on display along with the informative information cards were very interesting indeed. I took my three young children... More

Small, interesting and free attraction in Hereford. An old house filled with old furniture that gives an idea of life in the past. Check your opening times on the net beforehand to avild disappointment as it's only open for about half the week. Well worth a look if you are visiting Hereford and at my favourite price i.e. FREE ADMISSION

Surprisingly free of charge. Donations welcome. Very good that there is a virtual tour on computer on ground floor for disabled. No one disabled at computer so I took a look myself and actually it's a very good introduction to the house. Enjoyed making my way up the house - would not be possible for anyone who can't manage stairs... More

The Old House is exactly what is says on the tin and while it won't take you long to have a look around it, it's defnitely an interesting and worthwhile experience, especially as entry is free. It's a remarkably well perserved house that acts like a time capsule, giving you a glimpse a what life was like in Hereford in... More

A old house giving a glimpse of how people use to live, due to the age of the exhibits most of them had notices on them saying do not touch. There are very steep stairs to the bedrooms and notices round the building telling you about the house. There was no staff while we were there to tell you about... More

It's hard to believe how old this house is but very interesting to see how people lived all those years ago. It's a shame more old buildings haven't been preserved for future generations.

We had no idea you could go inside especially for free, it's a lovely house. Very old with lots of information inside.
