Our 140-acre park is home to an incredible range of exotic and endangered species, in beautiful, landscaped surroundings. Just by visiting Marwell Zoo (owned and operated by conservation charity, Marwell Wildlife) you'll be making a big contribution to our projects to conserve species and habitats, both here in Hampshire and around the world. Our biggest ever exhibit opens this summer - Wild Explorers an immersive new home for our rhinos, scimitar horned oryx and Grevy's zebras. These are all species we have special responsibility for in the wild.

We took our grandson to visit Marwell on a Sunday morning. It was a long time since we had been, but our expectations were high. It's £50+ to get in for three of us, but that's ok as we understand that the upkeep of the animals costs money. Good points: excellent playgrounds for the children, the giraffe enclosure, the train,... More

Visited with my daughter and two granddaughters on a warm sunny day in August. Lots of walking and lots to see. It was a bit of hide and seek with the animals...perhaps they were just shy because they were hard to find! The girls loved the giraffes and especially the very naughty one.....they identified with that one. Such a lot... More

Some tips for parents with young kids... 1) Giraffe area is brilliant, you can get really close - we stupidly thought we'd loop back round for the observation deck for great pics for the kids but didn't - recommend++ not making that error 2) If arriving lunch-time ish, don't rely on the road train (tractor pulling carriages) as there is... We were on holiday in the area and based on recommendations visited the zoo. Great range of animals and a good walk to cover the whole site.

We visited Marwell with myself, my partner and our 5 year daughter as she has never been to a zoo before and I had been many times as a child with fond memories. It was quite busy being half term and good weather but the park coped well. There were lots to see and do and we had a great... More

As regular visitors to the zoo I have to say it is a great family day out. My children (4&6) absolutely love it and are always excited by the next visit, it can get busy at peak times but there is plenty of space for picnics so you can avoid the busy cafe (although my children love eating here have... We had an enjoyable day despite it being super busy. A large variety of animals to see in more than adequate enclosures, yes on occasion you need to be patient to spot them but all enclosures had something in them. Needs more catering facilities for the busy days that don't just sell ice creams as the 2 available were absolutely... More

We took our Granddaughters here for the day , lots if wasps everywhere made a lovely day unpleasant, my husband was stung within 5 minutes of entering, this prevented us having ice cream or drinks for fear of being stung again, the zoo is a wonderful place but sort out the wasps please.

Decided to take the kids to marwell as I don't remember going myself since I was a kid. We arrived half hour after it opened, with plenty of parking space, and well marked so we could find our car when we return. When we went to buy our entry tickets that was well organised and it took less then 7... More
