Our 140-acre park is home to an incredible range of exotic and endangered species, in beautiful, landscaped surroundings. Just by visiting Marwell Zoo (owned and operated by conservation charity, Marwell Wildlife) you'll be making a big contribution to our projects to conserve species and habitats, both here in Hampshire and around the world. Our biggest ever exhibit opens this summer - Wild Explorers an immersive new home for our rhinos, scimitar horned oryx and Grevy's zebras. These are all species we have special responsibility for in the wild.

Nice Zoo

Nice zoo with lovely surroundings. Take your own picnic/snacks.. as the food is extremely expensive. I've visited many zoo's and this is the most expensive yet!

I've been here about 3 times before, a good day out for all ages, families and couples. Some of the talks are quite close together time -wise depending on how long they go on for. But we just went back round any bits we missed, the park isn't massive so it wasn't too much extra walking. Nice gardens too, as... More

I was determined to go to the zoo on my birthday despite torrential rain. We did have heavy duty waterproofs. But the rain did not ruin our trip. The staff were all very friendly and chatty. The road train was still running and the staff were constantly wiping down the seats and making sure we were ok. The crowds were... More

It was a lovely day out, so may animals to see. Friendly zoo keepers. Play equipment and train rides for the children.

We have been visiting Marwell Zoo for years now. I have three kids of varying ages and it was our youngest's first vist to a Zoo. Really disappointed! Very expensive for what is now basically a glorified farm. Many of the enclosures are now empty and the tiger is nowhere to be seen, along with the rhinos, wallabys, hippo. Saw... More

My wife and I took our 9 year old son for our first family trip to Marwell. We booked the tickets online shortly before setting off - they're no cheaper that way but it does allow you to bypass the queue for tickets on arrival although, in our case, there was no advantage in that. The park itself is very... More

We visited Marwell as a spontaneous day out on a Sunday in May 2015. The first thing I noticed about Marwell was the wide paths between enclosures. We really appreciated all the space, it was nice to have as much time as we liked to look at the animals without feeling like we had to move on or that we... More

My wife and I took two of our niece's to the zoo recently, they had a good time but I could see further than that. The water in both the penguins and tigers enclosure was putrid and didn’t look like it had been cleaned out for weeks. I found it over priced for what it is. The train was once... More

Visited here on the 23/07/2015, marvellous place - not overly priced but if you buy online the tickets are cheaper - great for young and old alike. Free tractor train ride around the park as you so wish multiple stops dotted about, Lots to see and do all animals out and about make sure you visit the giraffe house at... More

Marwell zoo is a lovely day out for everyone. It is not too overly priced, there is a small donation to conversation within the ticket price, however you have the option to not pay this. I believe it is a good idea. The food and drink is also not overly price. Great day for all.
