How can grandparents keep 2 4-year olds happy for 6 hours? This is your answer. We had a wonderful day: family entry, picnic next to a T-Rex, lots of active animals, a train ride, and an ice cream. Result, sleeping twins all the way home and happily filed family memories!

Every time I visit Marwell there is always something different to enjoy. There are many animals, and the conditions they live in are great (The giraffes, for example, have a large plain to live in, and you can spot them from many areas in the park grazing!) Every animal has space, not acres of land, but what you expect from... More

Good trip for a couple of hours but there are not nearly as many animals as there used to be and some are often hiding. I think it is expensive but I guess it has to keep the animals in food and vets fees. Better for younger children, my 9 and 10 year old think it's a bit boring now.... More

I recently visited Marwell with my boyfriend. An indicator of how good it is, is the fact that I have been visiting since I was a child! I like this zoo because if you live in the area, you could get quite a few day trips out of it if you prefer to take your time. Don't necessarily expect to... More

I love Marwell. My lovely wife has an annual pass and I volunteer there. Animals are incredibly well cared for and free to roam from their outside enclosures to indoor spaces as they wish. Granted some days you see more than other days, but I am glad we have moved away from the old fashioned zoo where animals are kept... More

I am writing this review to say How disappointed our visit was today, my children were terribly upset at the lack of animals in the zoo and the state of the enclosures, they were looking forward to a day out but it lasted no more than 2 hours including a stop for lunch , which cost £28 for 2 sandwiches,... As annual members we visit a lot. Always enjoy a stroll round the zoo. Our son loves the penguins, giraffe house and the adventure playground. Don't miss the small play area behind the penguin enclosure. Current dinosaur exhibits are fab - look out for the T-rex and other animatronic dinosaurs. Take a ride a ride on the tractor train round... More

The weather was dry and warm, I don't think a wet day would be much fun. Plenty of animals to see, and some very informative park staff. There were a few empty cages, but often if you returned the animals would be out from their indoor area. I went with a 7 year old and 1 1\2 yr old, both... More
