What a gorgeous venue to watch cricket in. All you can see is trees and greenery (when not watching the cricket). Makes a change from those built up inner city stadiums.....plan your travel to and from the ground and you will be fine. Come on ECB support Hampshire with an A list test match.

Over this last year, I've been to the Ageas Bowl a lot of times. I first went last year for the England v Australia ODI and nearly froze to death because I really do not know what it is with the Ageas Bowl that means that inside it's at least 3 degrees colder than it is outside. So I highly... More

I was recently here for the England v India test match (caught the final day) and I must say that the renovations are looking good. As a local, I was a bit disappointed by the name change (sponsors will have their way though), but this stadium is definitely one on the up! The only issue is that food and drink... More

My first visit to the Ageas Bowl was on July 31, 2014 to attend the last day of a very exciting test cricket match between England and India (which England won). Fifth day tickets were sold at much lower prices than the tickets for the first 4 days, and were very affordable. The Ageas Bowl itself is very well-designed and... More

Lovely stadium (at least it will be when the hotel is finished) however: I attended day 5 of the test match yesterday, my first visit, and with a crowd of circa 5,000 expected I turned up without doing any research on transport as I figured none would be necessary with the ground 1/3 full. The last 2 miles to the... More

I had the occasion to watch the opening day of the India England Test match on Sunday, July 28. I found the Ageas Oval beautiful, and the facilities excellent. I would rate this as one of the most attractive grounds I have seen.. I was privileged to be driven to the stadium in a friend's chauffeur driven car, so access... More

The Ageas Bowl is a really good newer cricket ground. I have been a few times now and its really taking shape and becoming a good Test venue. Good staff and a good park and ride bus. Tickets are fairly priced. I recommend you visit this ground when you can.

Went to the second day of the Test Match, on 28 July, with a few friends. The ground is truly excellent, a few of the positives being:- a. Good seats, with plenty of legroom b. Helpful stewards c. Very good selection of food and drink outlets d. Little or no yobbish behaviour amongst the spectators - no beer glass snakes... More
