A wonderful piece of history that's nicely away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A great place to take a wander round, and don't forget to check out the outside areas. Watch the price of the cafe though, it can become quite expensive for a family

Been visiting Southampton for years and didn't even know this place existed, just at the end of the high street and turn right et voila! The audio tour is really good, gives you a real feel for days gone by, and the cafe is fantastic (good value too!)

Did not have time to view the Tudor house but had a lovely snack in the cafe and admired the charming garden. Will certainly revisit if in Southampton again.

We had read about this venue and decided to give the garden and cafe a try. It was a beautiful day and we made our way into the cafe. Such a lovely place, so clean and fresh and the as for the garden, it is just wonderful. The food we had was really good. They don't do full meals as... More

The Tudor House is quite hidden in the old district of Southampton. We visited for a concert of baroque music. The house has been beautifully conserved and very interesting. There is a gift shop. The cost is very reasonable, but free if you are visiting the lovely little cafe with outdoor seating in the tudor herb garden. Well worth a... More

Lots of interactive stuff for kids to do. Much better than it was before the closure and refit. I even got a discounted entry price. Have recommended to all my friends and lots more visits have been made.

Such a lovely historical Tudor home. Great visual presentation and ghosts telling the story of Southampton. Historical furnishings and gowns are all about the place. Gardens are wonderful.

A narrated picture show tells the story of the house, and then you explore the rooms with their creaky wooden floors and old furnishings, ending up in a lovely little Tudor garden at the back, where you can see down into an even older, ruined structure.

The surroundings as one looks out at the English garden are wonderful. The food was very good and very reasonably priced. Excellent service. Another nice aspect is that it is right across the street from St. Michaels church which I would recommend seeing.
