Very much enjoyed the house and the grounds. Good displays and explanations. Also ate a nice, quick lunch in the café. This house is the main reason I came to Southampton, and I was not disappointed. Thank goodness there are people who preserve places like this.

We went here with my son, and mother. Me and my husband love history so it was lovely, the show at the beginning is entertaining and suitable for children. Its rich in history the only downside was not every part is wheelchair accessible but alot is.

The Tudor House was a bit hit with the whole family. There is a lot of interactive elements, including computerised stations, dressing up and experts in full tudor dress/character throughout the house...and a fab new tea room it has to be said! Thoroughly enjoyable and reasonably priced.

We visited with two teenagers and a nine year old, and all of us enjoyed ourselves. There was a fab "show" in the banqueting hall at the start of our visit, mainly an audio and light show giving a little info about the house from the perspective of the ghosts who once lived there ~ a little spooky for very... The exhibits are well laid out around the house, and has a variety of interesting artefacts and objects on display. The garden is lovely to walk around, and well worth a visit - particularly in spring/summer. The cafe is very nice too. The audio/visual display in the main hall is a little odd, but I'm sure is very entertaining to... More

Had a Groupon voucher to visit this place a while back. I absolutely loved it! Even without the voucher it was well worth the money! Very informative for both children and adults (count me as both!) The tea room was lovely . We visited in winter and it was a perfect finish to a lovely afternoon!

Very well set out and informative. The effect of the passage of time and the various owners and tenants on this building really made me think: so often places are put back to reflect just a single period without acknowledging that change must happen. Lovely friendly staff, beautiful garden and a good cup of coffee! What more could you ask?... More

Well worth a visit with lots to see. The garden is beautiful. The air raid shelter is worth a look and a listen. The cafe is pleasant. All the staff were enthusiastic and happy to share information.

The Tudor House is splendid and atmospheric - lots of creaky floors. Interesting to see the walls scratched with 16th/17th century graffiti - I loved the pictures of the ships and the rabbit. Exhibits throughout (well displayed and labelled) give a good overview of Southampton's history. Family friendly with toys and books, and costumes to try on. Outside a beautifully... More
