After an introduction by (friendly) ghosts, the history of Southampton is told through displays through the house. The house is quite old and went through several iterations as the City evolved. A fun way to learn about Southampton history. The lovely garden in the rear is a surprise bonus.

Was greeted by very friendly guide and taken to a air raid shelter then on to a room to hear a talk by ghosts on the history of the house, then went on a tour of the house and gardens, a cardboard figure pointed you around the house and plaques pointed you in the right direction in the gardens as... An interesting remnant of Southampton's past. If History interests you, then certainly this is worth a visit if you are in the city. In my opinion it is not as good as the Tudor House in Tenby : but that's just my opinion.

We spent a couple of hours here killing time while we waited for our cruise. it was a great attraction. The introduction is one of the best we've seen in a long while and then to be able to wander around the house and gardens learning about the house through it's various life stages was so interesting. The staff were... More

Absolutely shocking, grumpy and rude workers, no fun at all for the kids, on one occasion I heard a worker commenting on a visitors teeth saying she has buck teeth, this left me in total shock, nothing for the kids to do, a total rip off, still fighting for a money back, it's not worth a penny. My kids couldn't... More

The house has been remodeled many times over several hundred years. Presently, it looks great with beautiful gardens. A tour of this architectural beauty is most enjoyable.

A lovely cup of coffee and wonderful cakes. A great place with outside seating in a small historical garden. Heaven.

For me, the best bit of the Tudor House is the garden which is a must. I love to sit at the cafe which overlooks the garden. They have very good deals on sandwiches as well as surive great tea. They even have weddings there sometimes. The old house itself is very interesting and takes almost an hour to go... More

This was a brilliant experience and one of the best reconstructions I have visited . I loved the timelines and the dressing up clothes for children. The garden is a mini Hampton Court, well researched and authentic. Highly recommended and educational without being stuffy. The café is also worth a visit to gaze out at the beautiful garden and relax.... More
