Having loved near here for over a year walking through twice a day I've had plenty of time to observe.....it's great on a sunny day, as long as you're not on your own, when the gangs of bored teenagers can make it a little intimidating at dusk. A good place to walk, run and generally chill out with a picnic... More

Riverside is really nice and i'm lucky enough it being very near my house. Its fairly clean, has a good mix of families, dog walkers and keep fit enthusiasts. Has 3 parks dotted equally along the route for differing ages. Just feel its missing something to really make you want to come here instead of The common, Victoria country park,... More

This is a great place for a visit. To amble alongside the river and see the ducks, geese, swans etcetera, is a great way to spend an hour or so. Luckily we live close by and so we have the pleasure of being able to take advantage of this place regularly. The added advantage in the summer, is the ice... More

It is a nice park with a nice walk next to the river which is fascinating . I walked there but I would definitely go by bicycle and try to ride all the way as it seems to be a big park. There are also quite a lot of trees and playgrounds for children to have fun.

Gorgeous park in the middle of southampton with so many hidden gems. Walk alongside the river, passed the newly renewed kiddies playground, have a look at the miniature steam trains, passed the playing fields, stop off at the white swan for a beer and on to the winchester alongside the river if you so choose!

Beautiful and also accessible for all sorts of age groups and physical capabilities. Take a picnic and you can stay there all afternoon. Take a football or cricket stuff and a second picnic, and you can stay longer.

Great park to walk along the River Itchen - best done when the tide is in as the river is tidal. Families enjoying the sunshine, watching canoes and small boats on the river.

I walk my dog here when ever the sun is out.. Can see some lovely wildlife down by the river and pitch and putt is always fun filled... Enjoyed walking down with the dog and stopping at The White Swan for a drink before wandering back up to the car. Great alrounder

Riverside park is a delightful area by the river Itchen. There are lots of seats, an excellent Children's Playground and cycle tracks. The best time to visit is on Sunday afternoon when both adults and children can ride on a magical model railway for just 50p. Buy your ticket from the kiosk at the station and enjoy a nostalgic ride... More
