Tidy comfortable clean and on time everything you need ...however I do have a problem with IOW ferry prices for vehicles but that's another matter.

This was our first trip with Red Funnel to the Island, and the journey over went without a hitch, a very calm smooth sailing. The return journey was just as good but the seating area for food is a real let down. We decided to have a breakfast on the return journey and stood in the queue and ordered a... More

The ferry is dirty, the boarding is very disorganised and worst of all are the unhelpful and unfriendly staff. I hope I never have to use them again.

I think that travelling with Red Funnel was probably one of my very best trips on a ferry. My fare was part of my railway ticket, which made it even better value for a foot passenger. All the staff that i had contact with were absolutely delightful and extremely helpful, taking pity on an older traveller and carrying my bag... More

We didn't choose red funnel it was booked as package with accomadation, so apart from knowing it was from Southampton didn't really know much about the company. We did have a little worrying time as running late due to terrible roads on journey down then the road works outside the ferry gates caused delays frustrating as we could see the... More

Since my childhood some 50 years ago, I had always wanted to go back to the Isle of Wight, however due to a bad experience on a ferry a few years ago, I was reluctant to go. I booked with Red Funnel and decided to go for it - however, panic set in from the moment I saw the ferry... More

We travel by Red Funnel once a year the service is great and will get you on a ferry early if you get there before the due time, but not that great that the price has gone up by £30.00 in a year for the same bank holiday week. The journey back from Isle of Wight had 3 teas from... More

I have now used Red Funnel 3 times this year and have found them excellent on each occasion, the latest one bring on the 4 July, very clean, good food and even watched the World Cup while crossing on the TV. Very easy to book on line and they will get you on a earlier ferry crossing if they can.

We travelled on the red funnel ferries for a Monday-Friday break on the Isle of Wight and chose a 9am crossing on the Monday (day after the Isle of Wight festival) which was on the refitted red falcon and a lovely sailing across to the island for our first time there. Lots of places to sit, purchase food and drink... More

I Guess you have to put up with some inconvenience, The breakfasts was awful & expensive but we arrived on time I just think the price is far to high at this time of year.
