The old walls of the city exist in bits and pieces from the city centre down towards the docks. If you're into history really worth the walk to find all of the surviving pieces.

Mayflower park is one of the worst parks that I have been in. It really needs a revamp and the play area is not up to much at all.

In the summer Mayflower Park is a wondeful place to sit down either on the field or under the trees and enjoy and ice-cream from the van or a bring your own picnic. In winter it's still nice to drive down get some chips from the nearby chippy and then watch the sunset and cruise ships from the warmth of... More

Hi. This park is lovely. Plenty of space for people & cars, loads of parking spaces most on the meter so you've been warned! I come here when i'm picking my customers up off one of the cruise ships. I go down the day before my ship comes in, i live in North Yorks, & do an overnighter. I love... More

The mayflower is a wonderful size and they show some wonderful performances. The newly built entrances and given the building a more updated feel which I personally like a lot more. Parking can be a little bit of a pickle, but as long as you're organised, it's fine.

Spent many hours in the Park, usually while waiting for the Red Funnel ferry. It's a lovely place to relax and there is usually plenty of activity on the water to view. A small café provides refreshments when needed and there are toilet facilities. My wife and I love to spend an hour or two just chilling in the park.

I visit here several times a year. There is a nice children's play area and lots of room to play with things like kites etc. walking around is nice especially along the prom on the waterside. Lots of benches to sit but no picnic benches. The park is taken over every September for the boat show so you cannot go... More

The park has parking opposite the river Test and you can watch the ships going up and down the river. There is a large grass area so you can play games or have a picnic or just take tine to enjoy the scenery in the sun. It can get a bit windy there as it is open to the elements,... More

I have spent many a happy hour in Mayflower Park over the years. It is a great place for a gentle stroll, a picnic or simply a place to sit & watch the boats & birds while having a nice cup of tea in the cafe. The view across to Hythe is quite pretty &, although nearer to is more... More
