Visited Blue Reef as doing a day trip to Southsea. Smaller then I expected. Visited with my sister & mum who is in a wheelchair. Easy to push around. Was nice to see the otters as was not expecting this. Can imagine it can get very crowded in the school holidays & a weekends.

We were lucky enough to get free entry to the aquarium as part of the Victorious Festival over the summer, and my review is therefore coloured by the fact that it didn't cost us anything: if we had had to pay full price for entry we might have felt rather differently about things! We really enjoyed our visit: there are... More

I think Blue Reef was pretty usual aquarium, nothing special, but okay. Doesn't take long to see everything it has to offer. The otters were a pleasant surprise. Price was ok.

We were quite excited to be taking our 17 month daughter to see the aquarium but our excitement lapsed when walked through into the exhibits. It was looking very tired and run down. Lights that were to illuminate the information panels were not working. It looked like no-one gave a damm about the state of the place. I am sure... More

£10 for adults £7.50 for kids is very steep for what it is and that really isnt much... its a very basic limited aquarium thats about all there is to say. BUT OMG the bluereef cafe next door... what a total and utter RIP OFF .....DO NOT GO... £2.35 for any bottle of like oasis or coke etc. .. and... More

Quite expensive ticket prices for families, luckily went during Victorious Festival so had free entry. Not a lot has been updated in a number of years, and some of the tanks are looking a little tired. It was good to see the larger black tip reef sharks were no longer cooped up in the tiny tank and have been moved... More

Went on a bank holiday Monday in August. There was a 15 minute queue to pay to get in (£10) as there was just one girl in the till. Thankfully my daughter is under three - and therefore still free. I would have been very disappointed had I paid £7.75 for her entry. The tanks are small and poorly labeled.... More

Visited this aquarium quite a bit when my kids were younger and had the opportunity to go again while at Victorious Festival. It was somewhat smaller then I remembered but still very interesting. We watched the rays being fed and saw the otters. There is a play area outside, overlooking the seafront, with some 'wet' activities, so take your kiddies... More

It's a very small aquarium but they have some great exhibits which kids love. Money off vouchers always available online - we got 50% off a family ticket. Wouldn't have paid full price as it's not worth £30+.

We went with our 10 and 22 year old sons and they were both enthralled with the variety of fish and reptiles, and of course the fun loving otters! There are lots of viewing opportunities at all levels and would be suitable for people with mobility problems. We were amazed to be the only ones in the outside play area... More
