This place is great, loved every minute seeing and learning about all the creatures under the sea, plenty to see and lots to learn about.

This aquarium is fine. Nothing particularly special but also not awful. The tanks and fish were well lit and clean, the outside play area for children is amazing and the staff were friendly. A little bit expensive considering how small the place is but I don't mind too much. Poor gift shop, full of tat!

Its not the biggest aquarium I've ever taken my children to but the outside water play area made the whole experience really fun.

This aquarium is very basic. The downsides: Not enough staff around to answer questions, not enough information plaques besides the tanks, nasty smell throughout (especially near the otter enclosure!) , toilets need a bit of TLC and maintenance. You get your hand stamped upon entry and can go back throughout the day. Lovely outside area for picnics and playing. Compared... More

Disappointed. Expensive and not good value for money as we were out within 45 minutes (15 of that spent playing outside!). Needs a major upgrade to keep it as competition for other local attractions. Needs a lot of maintenance. Steep prices and not even given a free scratch card for the kids to do unless we bought the guidebook!

Me and my family came down to Portsmouth and paid far too much money to walk around a tacky aquarium that smelled like it's never been cleaned. Some of the tanks were empty and the fish that were there just weren't worth the money we paid to get in. Needs sorting out.

*There was algae on pretty much every single tank so was hard to see through the glass. *The fish on display were mainly species you can go and see in a pet shop or in rivers! *The otters absolutely stank and were bored/motionless. *There were only small shark species, no turtles etc.. *Toilets were unclean, messy and smelly. *Lighting is... We visited with grandchildren and paid £10 per adult and £8 per child over aged 3. friendly front desk but it went down hill from there. There was a few empty tanks, what was there was not really interesting, The play area was just ok. In my opinion they need to do a lot more to get people in the... More

Pulled up to find no specific parking so had to pay on the esplanade. Thought we would be there a good few hours so paid for 6 hours! Entered the aquarium and was awed by the first ray enclosure. The sharks were quite good too although pretty small. The rest of of 6-7 aquariums were pretty standard and average for... More

We visited during Easter break and my kids enjoyed it. Seemed a bit pricey for the size but in keeping with attractions generally in south east england. They enjoyed the scratchcard tour. Staff were non existant once we were in and while we were give an list of events in was not clear where these were. Twice staff came crashing... More
