We generally try and avoid wholly negative reviews but this trip was really best avoided. Although the staff seemed friendly enough, the level of decay and astonishingly bad smells (particularly in the latter half) were enough to hasten our departure at speed.

We bought our 12 year old son a Fishkeeper for a Day experience at the Blue Reef. Our son has been keeping tropical fish for over 3 years, so this was an ideal gift. The day started at 10:30am, with a welcome drink in the cafe and a run through of some H&S points. Our lovely Aquarist, Rob, was really... More

This is an over priced run down tatty place with a few fish tanks. Very expensive for short visit. Staff very friendly but overall a big disappointment. No where for a packed lunch so £32.50 for a family ticket. Short visit. Ate lunch in the car on the way home.

Nice for a couple of hours out of the house. Lots of species to look at, entry price isn't as bad as people say it is in my opinion, worth a trip!

Yes, this seafront attraction is small and quite tatty, but there is plenty to keep children entertained for 90 minutes or so. We were greeted by a very cheerful and helpful man on the front desk who provided the children (10 and 3) with activity sheets and questionnaires. It is expensive for the condition and size of the aquarium, but... More

This place was ok for about an hour and a half. Some nice fish but the place looked tired and it was definately overpriced for the size. The staff member on the counter was very miserable and this wasnt great when you are paying that kind of money.

We took our 2 yr old to this aquarium and were greated by a miserable young girl at the front desk.Try and crack a smile it's not hard and first impressions really count! It's not a good idea to site a load of overpriced balloons at the entrance in regards of young kids who inevitably will demand one! The entrance... More

Nearly £30.00 for 2 adults and one child. Expected far more for this price, even taking your time you are at the end within half an hour. Should be half of what it cost and that should include returns visits.

We had our grandchildren staying over Christmas and we wanted to make their trip to the airport fun, so as they have a fish tank at home and the weather was too bad for the beach, we decided on the aquarium! It was a great choice as both adults and grandchildren were entertained throughout with the total variety of fish... More
