Maybe it was due to visiting out of season, but I was more than a bit disappointed by Exbury Gardens. We are members of the royal horticultural society and we believed we could get in to Exbury with our tickets. Well we couldn't- they apparently only accept this in March and Sept?? More than a bit odd I thought. Anyway... More

We have visited previously but not when the Azaleas were in full bloom. There is a significant amount of walking over a variety of surfaces but it is well worth it. The views of the river from the River Walk are lovely and as the tide was good there was plenty of activity. There are so many nooks and crannys... More

A little piece of heaven! The Gardens are beautifully kept. I did feel that the entrance price for the gardens should include the steam train ride, however, we would visit again particularly in the spring.

We decided to visit in March as we were assured that all year round visits were worth it. We were also told by a friend that you could buy a ticket that would entitle you to further visits within the year. Staying nearby we decided to visit then go back in June to see the Rhododendrons and azaleas in June... More

We visited with our little grandson on the first day of opening this year. He was only interested in the train ride which is expensive when you add in the cost of the garden admission. i think the gift aid shouldn't be added automatically, as a three year old, he doesn't pay tax yet! The train ride its self was... More

At the end of March it was a little early to visit these well-known gardens but we were not disappointed. The camellias were at their best with many new plants looking lovely. There were a few rhodedendrons out but they will be best in a couple of weeks time. The grounds are well-maintained, lots of gravel paths with plenty of... More

As a regular visitor, it is obvious that a great deal of effort has gone in to improving the garden amenity over the last few years. But, oh dear! The on-site catering is a disgrace. We took Sunday lunch there and, at nearly £10 a head for just a main course, it represented very poor value. An unidentifiable cut of... More

These gardens are beautiful with so much to see. The day we visited it rained but it was still worthwhile. The restaurant facilities were not what I would have expected, I would take a picnic next time. There was a good gift shop though with some nice plants for sale. We did not got on the train so cannot comment.... More

Visited this exbury gardens upon a recommendation from a colleague who lives down south. The place is not easy to get to unless you have a car or on organised tour. Plenty of parking space and the cafe outside the gardens offer hot drinks on a cold day. This attraction extended their opening dates for another 2 weeks than originally... More
