I am a member of the arboretum and go there regularly. Positive points: - Very nice place to walk. It is especially gorgeous in Autumn. - Well maintained, seasonal tracks regularly updated to point visitors towards interesting trees with good explanations. - There are both accessible paths which are excellent for pushchairs or it is possible and easy to go... The Arboretum is split into two - the more formal area of mainly maples and the wilder Silk Wood, where one can walk dogs. For me, Silk Wood is the more peaceful, and , in the Spring, there are areas of wild flowers, flowering cherry trees , including a spectacular display of bluebells in May. In the Autumn, the maples... More

Why they have decided to rip up the car park just before the Easter break is beyond me. Instead of using the field they use as a car park when the concerts are on they have decided to use the field between the trees were people sit with picnics. Before the management say it's got to be done at some... More

Wonderful for walking. Real quality for adults and children. They also have great concerts in the summer.

Having awaited this day out for such a long time I was not disappointed. The walks are beautiful, peaceful and never ending! This was a first of many visits - we have timed it to be only 2 hours from Devon so will be here again soon.

We took friends with us while having a short stay at nearby Bath. The Arboretum is really wonderful and it never fails to amaze how well it is maintained. We had a wonderful long walk admiring the many trees and shrubs and the wonderful colours on display. One small criticism on this visit. The tearoom is "tired" and needs a... More

We arrived mid morning and required a motorised scooter for my wife to get about due to size of the park. Surprised that her is a charge of so much £8 per person. Staff were great and helped with providing a free motorised scooter for my wife together with the offer of a blanket for knees etc. We were visiting... More

Luckily we visited on a Wednesday so it was half price or we would of felt slightly ripped off, I'm not going to be too harsh as I appreciate this place comes alive and is more attractive in autumn. Visited with a friend and a small child we had lunch in the cafe and it was very expensive for what... More

We went here as a treat for my birthday, in hind sight we should have gone a bit later in the year as there is not much colour in March, it is still a good day out, lots to see and do, the restaurant is grossly overpriced and the food not good, bring your own as there is only one... More

Our first visit and not sure what to expect at this time of year but it was really nice. Plenty of colour from Camelias, Rhodedendrons etc Very well maintained footpaths made for a lovely walk in not ideal conditions. Tip-half price on Wednesdays!
