We have visited Westonbirt Arboretum for over 50 years, taking our children and later our grandchildren for picnics and walks.. Many years ago on retirement,we subscribed to the Friends of Westonbirt and enjoyed our walks there. Sometimes we called in just to have a cup of coffee and visit the shop. A 2 minute walk after parking the car. On... More

You can walk for hours here and although it can get very busy at weekends, it's a lovely place. October/November as well as spring are probably the best times to come. I would be happier if they would reduce the cost a bit but all the same, it's a beautiful place to go for a long walk.

This arboretum is impressively vast with good, well maintained walking paths and well stocked shops and cafe. Its quite pricey to go in for visitors. We visited in December, just before Christmas and variations of walking paths were available to allow for the wetter months so we didn't feel that we had missed out on anything. The trees in this... I love Westonbirt and have been visiting for years. it is beautiful and the walks are stunning. I think recent developments make it less user friendly than it was, disabled parking can now be an awfully long way from mobility office to hire a wheelchair, and generally it does not feel as friendly as it did, but still worth a... Been to westonbirt loads. It's lovely, peaceful and relaxing place to walk around. Lots of different trails and trees to see and lots of activities for kids. Gift shop lots of little things in to buy and they got plant shop to. Food is very good and priced well. At Christmas it goes all Christmassy on you. Enchanted Christmas is... More

The Westonbirt Arboretum is incredible. I'd just been encouraged by a friend to visit, and was awed. I'd thought oil paintings I'd seen of the English countryside were romanticized by the artists: not so - arborists were hired maybe centuries ago to plan out, design, the grounds and arboretums for English country estates. Many varieties of trees were chosen to... More

We were given membership for Christmas and were delighted. Great place to walk, not hilly which is nice and masses of dogs. The play area is great and it's perfect for little ones. The cafe is nice and a lovely deck outside. The experience could be improved by having water troughs for dogs on the way around the walks, there's... More

Went today with 3 kids and what a disappointment. Cost £25 and stick man hunt was really NOT worth the money. No comparison to 'Gruffalo's child' at heritage centre a few years ago in Forest of Dean. Stick man packs (you pay extra for) suggest lovely activities with sticks and if it were August, they would be great. But given... More

My husband and I visited Westonbirt several times last year in the run up to our wedding in the great oak hall. Each time we visited it got even better and more beautiful! On our wedding day it was just perfect. The staff were all brilliant, the food was delicious and the setting was stunning. Thank you to everyone who... More
