Spring is just around the corner

A walk through the park indicated that spring was around the corner with the early shoots of bulbs just beginning to awaken after the winter

Not a big city park, but it has plenty to offer. Lots of swings and slides in the playground. And best of all a large pond with plenty of wildlife to see. You can also feed the ducks out children have loved it for a decade or more. It has a good pub by it as well when you need... More

A great place to while away an hour or so with the grandsons, feed the ducks, then to the play area. It is also a great place to sit & sketch with such marvellous ancient trees , lake & Bandstand.

Stroud can be very proud of its delightful Stratford Park, a free resource for locals and visitors alike. (Charge for swimming pools) The gardens were beautiful & very colourful, the lake a tranquil spot to be enjoyed or for children to feed the ducks & swans. The little railway wasn't running when we were there & there were no signs... More

Lots to do here, various sports/games, children's play area, picnic area, woods, lake, museum in the grounds, leisure centre ditto - plenty of parking, including disabled parking for easier access to the museum and leisure centre, through the barrier at the very top of the car park. Bandstand where you can sit and listen to brass/silver bands on a Sunday... More

Also known as Stratford Park, this is a really lovely place with something for everyone. Grassy areas, crown green bowls, skateboard park, open air swimming pool, band stand, tennis courts, indoor pool, old pine tree walks, and a large pond complete with waterfowl, (great for amusing small children), not to mention a splendid museum, definitely something for everyone. I was... More

A wonderfully kept park and a beautiful example of English gardens. Stunning views when you walk around all the sections. It's nice to see a pond where the ducks aren't afraid to come up to you and say hi. Great for the kids to rum around and let off steam. Amy
