Stunning panoramic Views!

Don't miss out if you are travelling through Painswick. A short walk up to the beacon from the golf course. There is actually a litte car park right next door to the top!

Really cannot understand this place. Has historic monuments which now seem to be part of a golf course. No objection to golf but this seems somewhat inappropriate.

The beacon gives good info about long range features. As it is positioned on the site of the most impressive Iron Age fort some relevant info would have been fantastic. There are many features that would bear historical analysis and identification.

The view is stunning, right out to the Welsh mountains but the path is rough and crosses a golf course, so take care. What a shame that there's nowhere to leave litter, or signs to shame those who do not take it home.

We found the paths a little difficult to find and relied on other people to show us the easy way up to the top. The views were magnificent.

With views to the Severn Bridges, across the Severn Valley to the Brecon Beacons and to the north The Malvern Hills. A lovely 30 minute walk from Painswick village. On the Cotswold Way.

The view was spectacular and the golf course was quirky! There are so many routes you could try a different one each time. Perfect for watching sunset.

Yes, it can be windy, and yes, it's a steep climb up to the top (but not too far). The view from the Beacon is wonderful - just try to avoid looking too much at the industrial outskirts of Gloucester. Today we could see the Malverns, River Severn, and the Black Mountains clearly - the latter are about fifty miles... More

Steep climb but well worth it on a clear day you can see the malvern hills and as far as wales. In the summer good for a picnic

Lovely place to see some of the most beautiful Cotswolds countryside from. Worth the short walk up (across the golf course!). NB: if there's any wind at all, it's likely to be blowing a gale once you get to the top!
