Loved this Arboretum but we were unable to spend much time here as our puppy has recently had surgery and is on time limited walks. There were some amazing panoramic views and I particularly liked that the Mitford sisters were raised at Batsford House which can be seen during the walk that is shown on a map given on paying... Really worth a visit. You can spend a lovely day here. The arboretum is situated on a hill surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a pleasure to walk around, very peaceful. There is a well stocked garden centre and the café/restaurant offers excellent food.

A wet weekend in the Cotswolds, we didn't fancy wandering around Moreton-in-Marsh in the rain, and curiosity caused us to follow the signs to the Arboretum. A lovely location, but frankly we didn't have the wet weather gear to wander around outside so decided to have a look at the attached garden center. So glad we did. My thing is... More

Batsford Arboretum is different but nonetheless interesting if you like gardens and especially trees: you can have a lovely walk around the extensive grounds, visit the Church which is beautiful, and then call at the cafe for refreshments, and buy some plants in the garden centre - all in all a good afternoon out!

A nice hike from Moreton-in-Marsh if you like walking through the countryside, but part of the walk is along a noisy road.

Found the arboretum wonderful so peaceful. Dog loved it. Garden centre although limited on plants was well laid out . Coffee and cake was very good but when you have a group of four adults added onto the entrance fee makes it an expensive trip. However as we live within a 20 mins drive looking at joining friends of Batsford.

Dog friendly, very quiet, beautiful stroll around the arboretum. Nicely laid paths and easy to follow the trails. Great views from the high points and we had scorching hot sun too.

Following and offer on Travel Zoo we spent a few peaceful hour wandering around the grounds. could have spent all day there - especially when it was such a sunny day. Excellent garden centre - with a good range of healthy plants at very reasonable prices. Would recommend a visit good place to take a picnic. Certainly visit again in... More

We were lucky enough to pick a gorgeous sunny day to visit and it was beautiful - so many different plants, trees and flowers, some nice photos to take. Would be nice to visit in the different seasons to see how it changes. Plenty of space so good to take kids and dogs (must be on lead) (dogs that is... More

My husband and I visited the Arboretum on a Monday afternoon on our way home from a weekend in Great Risslington. Very easy to find and well sign posted. Large car park. Stairs down to the garden centre/entrance to the Arboretum. We were given a map which was numbered with areas of interest - which we followed and had a... More
