Good luck if you do the 18km cycle route. The map and instructions are diabolical and there are NO way markers to follow either. Didn't experience anything else on the site so can't comment any further.

Popped in after visiting the Cotswolds shop. Big room with lots of tables, more seating outside by the lake. Good choice ranging from snacks through to full meals. All looked really good and although not very cheap was very good value. The meals we had were very tasty and good portion sizes. For a Sunday on a Bank holiday the... More

Drove over to the park for a few hours whilst on a short break in Cirencester. The park is easy to find with lots of signs from the major roads. Lots of free parking right outside the Gateway centre. Visited the centre to pick up information leaflets and a free map of the paths and trails around the park. Thanks... More

You can just park up at the Gateway Centre and choose from so many walks. Very pleasant area of lakes. Lots to see, take a camera. Perhaps waterproofs if showery and maybe wellies! When we went, no need for either, the ground was surprisingly dry. You can walk for miles and there are many signposts up, but still take a... More

We have spent several afternoons having pleasant walks around the Cotswold Water Park, and they have been very enjoyable. The lakes encourage a range of wildlife and there is certainly a sense of peacefulness in the area. I have yet to try any of the other facilities in the area, but there are several geocaches around if you are that... More

Went here to practice open water swimming in preparation to complete the Great North Swim. Really impressed with the place. Very cheap and cheerful and perfect for training to do open water swimming especially if you live in the Cotswolds.

Beware hidden charges, cafe now charging 50p extra if you ask for additional hot water with a pot of teabag tea. Reluctant to give customer till receipt and price not displayed anywhere. This is a new policy and does not allow for customers who don't wish to have strong tea. A pot of tea normally costs £2 and by the... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your visit to the Gateway Centre, and I am sorry that you were disappointed. I have been in touch with the managers of the café to clarify the system, and they do not make a charge for any additional hot water when a pot of tea has been purchased... More

We really enjoyed our visit to this water and wildlife area. Although in February it was a bit boggy and wet underfoot we enjoyed the walk around the large lake taking in bridges and pooh sticks. The cafe was clean and provided an excellent array of cakes and warm food. A good place to enjoy a stroll and get some... More
