Went here to practice open water swimming in preparation to complete the Great North Swim. Really impressed with the place. Very cheap and cheerful and perfect for training to do open water swimming especially if you live in the Cotswolds.

Beware hidden charges, cafe now charging 50p extra if you ask for additional hot water with a pot of teabag tea. Reluctant to give customer till receipt and price not displayed anywhere. This is a new policy and does not allow for customers who don't wish to have strong tea. A pot of tea normally costs £2 and by the... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your visit to the Gateway Centre, and I am sorry that you were disappointed. I have been in touch with the managers of the café to clarify the system, and they do not make a charge for any additional hot water when a pot of tea has been purchased... More

The cafe was clean and provided an excellent array of cakes and warm food. A good place to enjoy a stroll and get some... More

We came here hoping for a decent winter walk. The car park at the Gateway Centre was dreadful with huge water filled potholes amongst a sea of mud, making many spaces impossible to use. The walk was acceptable but some of the paths were ankle deep in mud making them virtually impassable. On return to the car park, we attempted... More

I went to the Cotswold country park as a bird spotter as I had seen that several birds I was interested in had been seen there. It was obvious that the place caters for people wanting a meal or a walk, possibly with their dogs. The lakes local to the info place and eating area were very popular but the... More
