My class of 8 to 10 year olds really enjoyed their day at the Museum. The activities were well presented, the staff were helpful and the interactive exhibits engaged all levels of ability. A great day out! Thank you

All exhibits were well presented and interesting. Could have spent longer in there but didn't arrive till the afternoon and wanted to explore Cirencester as well but still felt like we had value for money.

Thank you for your kind review. We’re pleased you enjoyed your visit. We usually suggest a minimum of 1 hour to view the galleries although as you say you can certainly spend a lot longer as there’s so much to see! More

Thank you for your review, we’re pleased you enjoyed your visit to the Corinium Museum. As you mentioned Cirencester was the second largest Roman town in Britain and has provided us with an amazing collection of Romano-British finds. We are still finding objects in the town today, our newest display features a rare bronze enameled cockerel found during excavations by... More

This was our principle reason for stopping in Cirencester today. We were traveling with a Roman history specialist and she was eager to see this place. We were not disappointed! Simply put, this is a *very* well designed museum. The exhibits were thought out perfectly, giving an accessible overview of the 2500+ years of civilisation in the town. The Roman... More

Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. We are delighted you enjoyed your visit. We are very proud of our mosaic collection, it’s amazing to think that Cirencester has one of the largest concentrations of Roman mosaics in the country (over 90 mosaics have been found in the town). As you mentioned there is always plenty... More

I had not visited this museum for over 10 years and since then it has had a brilliant refurbishment. It is a museum based on the local history, the Roman period being especially important as Cirencester was the second largest Roman town in the country. The museum is very well laid out and the mosaics are well displayed. They had... More

Well presented. It's not a large museum. Perfect place to pop in for an hour and learn about the local history.

Dedicated to the history of Cirencester, mostly in Roman times but with some Bronze Age artifacts and more recent items as well. Fascinating to see how the Roman street layouts and major landmarks correspond to the modern town. Some excellent audiovisual displays and hands-on things for young children. The Roman garden is a nice touch but was a bit bedraggled... More

The quality of this museum was a complete surprise, having seen quite a few small town museums in my time. A lot of thought had obviously gone into the layout which flowed very nicely. The mosaics are superb and alone are worth the price of admission which is excellent value anyway. Everything is well displayed and the interactive displays can... More
