Prescott Hill Climb, based just outside of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is...

Prescott Hill Climb, based just outside of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is home to one of the world's most prestigious motor racing venues. Set in 60 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside, the estate not only provides a beautiful setting for a range of classic car and bike weekends, but also hosts major motor racing championships.

The Bugatti Owners Club was established in 1929 for all motoring enthusiasts regardless of what type of vehicle you drive. The Club is based at Prescott and purchased the estate in 1937, converting the muddy, rutted drive into a speed hiil climb in time for the opening rally in April 1938.

The 1127 yard course rises over 200 feet via short straights, fast and slow corners and a breathtaking hairpin, with the fastest modern racing cars completing the course in an exciting 36 seconds.

The action can be viewed from strategic points along the course as well as from the restaurant terrace. Visitors and competitors alike can enjoy an exhilarating days racing plus vintage cavalcades up the Hill.

Whether you are a competitor, a car or bike enthusiast or someone who just likes a day out in beautiful surroundings Prescott is the place for you.

A Great day out for car lovers

So much fun to see all the cars, chat to the owners and watch the cars race. Next time will take a picnic or bbq and spend the whole day there.

We visited the classic car hill climb in early October and had a brilliant day out. The hill is challenging for the cars and that makes for great action to view. Particularly lovely to see the classic cars. Very easy to view for spectators at all stages of the hill. You have to go.

This is a really great day out. The track is in a beautiful setting with lots of great spots to watch the various cars. I liked the open pit areas- you can get up close to the cars and drivers and chat to them too. My 8 yr old loved that. The club house does a good breakfast and there's... More

This is a great place to go to if you want to hear 'real' performance engines. Not a hybrid in sight!!! I tell a fib, there was a demo from a Teslar (all electric car) which whispered up the hill!!! The Championship Meeting gave a lovely spread of interest from outright racing machines, vintage race cars from the 60's and... More

Invited to the event by my son (we took 6 year old grandson) - what a glorious day! The sun shone all day, but I suspect that even if it was dull/cloudy/rainy, the folk who were there (drivers/mechanics/staff/others) would have made it a memorable event - there's a 'warm and welcoming' atmosphere about the place. Home of the Bugatti Owners... More

We spent yesterday afternoon at Prescott for the Midsummer speed fest and it was a memorable experience. It is like turning back the clock with a wonderful relaxed picnic atmosphere with a lot of people have a lot of fun with mainly old cars. However the top-of-the line purpose built hill-climbing machines were extraordinary pieces of kit and it was... More
