Lots of good shops, bars and restaurants, some individual, some chain. Perfect for an afternoon stroll with lunch or dinner. Amazing architecture and only 5 min from the Prom

My wife and I have eaten in the Circus Bar three times now - usually before going on to the cinema or just after shopping in the city. On each occasion, I have been overwhelmed by the quality of the food they turn out for the low prices - it may not be haute cuisine, but my wife and I... More

The whole area is trapped in a bygone era. The shops are very individual and the "Piece de resistance" is Lloyds bank.............. the old pump room for Cheltenham Spa. If your spending time in Cheltenham, this area is very worthwhile the visit.

Maybe I am biased as I live just down the road but I don't think there is a more perfect place in Cheltenham. It doesn't matter what you are in the mood for - Montpellier can satisfy you. A quiet cup of coffee (All Bar 1, Montpellier Brasserie), grabbing lunch on your way to work (Tiffins), nice big breakfast (Tiffins,... More

We didn't stay here but just came for afternoon tea one day. Delicious selection of sandwiches and cakes etc for a very reasonable price compared to London. We had it in a conservatory area that was tucked away and sunny with a good view out over the surrounding area.

Hotel fits the area it is classy without going over the top, food is excellent in the restaurant although the wine is a little pricey. Room we had was very comfortable and well maintained with an excellent bathroom. Staff were attentive and in the bar in particular were friendly and wanted to help. One bad point was breakfast on the... More

This area of Cheltenham is well worth a visit with individual shops and a great atmosphere .Parking is reasonable for this busy town and you can enjoy the pleasure of the Imperial gardens at the right time of year

This is a really nice part of Cheltenham with loads of restaurants, bars, shops and open spaces. A pleasure to walk round and browse which is not really my thing. Made even nicer when compared with the next days wall around the high Street area which i found distinctly shabby without the chic. I know where I would rather spend... More

In Montpellier district there are loads of interesting shops, many of which are not part of any chain.

If you like shopping and are very wealthy it is ok. Duck behind the Main Street and downstairs to Flynns for a reasonably priced meal. The Mayflower also good but expensive.
