Nice area for wine bars and cocktail bars and only expensive if you want to enjoy expensive wines or cocktails. Some bars like the Rotunda were cheap and friendly. The Montpellier appeared to be popular with the local toffs but really wasn`t as nice as other bars we visited. The people we met in the bars around Cheltenham were very... More

An amazing choice of events / speakers to suit all tastes. Food options , temporary book store, book signings. Enjoyed most of all the sessions that gave the audience more time to ask for questions. In a couple the times personnel in "conversation" either talked too much about their "opinions" rather than the actual guest or were a bit stilted... More

A really nice town with lots of restaurants and bars. Beautiful architecture throughout. Avoid the chain bars on Saturday as they are full of students downing cheap shots before going to the local night club. We were also surprised how many restaurants and bars were closed on Sunday night too.

Very lovely to roam around this area and enjoy the 'Englishness' of it. With old buildings, raised pavements from the days of horse drawn carriages and muck in the streets, and even the individual boutique type shops. Definitely worth a wander through if you're in Cheltenham.
