Great area to walk around

Beautiful gardens, lots of shops and restaurants, and very easy to get around. Great place for a stroll or to shop/window shop/people watch.

Walked through Montpellier on way to town centre, great boutique shops, restaurants and bars. Stopped on the way back for food and drinks, outside seating watching the world go by.

Nice area for shopping and eating out. The only problem at the moment is there are building work's going on in the city centre.

It is just heaven on earth, masses of restaurants and delightful shops - a very good therapy trip! The architecture is wonderful, many white stucco buildings which makes it so interesting and different.

Lovely upmarket area lacked nice cafes for lunch. Shops were beautiful though and well kept area. Nice to go somewhere that wasn't your typical high street stores

We were really pleased to be staying near this district in that wonderful spell of warm weather just after Easter. People saying hello on the streets, shops to browse, lovely feel, more relaxed than London, great park to lounge in with band stand (young people and perhaps the smell of something illegal after dark - walk around the very safe... This is a great area to just stroll any time of day. We had a lovely walk when it was quiet early one morning just as the shops were opening. Beautiful old buildings full of character and peaceful, well-manicured gardens complete with statues. High end shops in this area but even if you can’t buy, it is still a lovely... More

This is where the majority of good eateries are in Cheltenham. There is also good shopping and some great music and food events which are held in the gardens opposite the Queens hotel. The architecture in this area is also very grand due to it's connections with being a royal spa town. There are many fine examples of Georgian town... More

Montpellier has a great selection of shops, bars, cafe's and restaurants many of which have tables outside, there is a real buzz up there in good weather. A great place for a leisurely mooch, some things are outside my price range, but some are not, and it makes a great change to have one off shops and boutiques rather than... More

We visited this nice little area around valentine'd day.. Particularly liked John Gordon's bar / wine merchants. Lots of independent shops.
