Went to see this production on Saturday evening. Didn't know what to expect In such a small theatre (seating 60 people). To be honest I enjoy going to big theatres and big productions and was afraid it would be too intimate-audience participation is my dread. In short, it wasn't the sort of venue I would have chosen but it was... More

I watch like everything in here with all my friends and when the lights go down the play is magnificent, the actors even interactive with you and if your lucky then you may get sweets otherwise you might get blasted with water. it never fails to make my sisters mind burst with imagination when we get home.

Just been here to watch the Shawshank Redemption. The play was fantastic and all the actors gave a great account of themselves. Forgot there was some choice language in it at times and the daughter was uncomfortable with Andy being raped, even though this bit was done with the lights out. There are some discrepancies with the film, which I... More

Whilst it doesn't look much externally, step inside this theatre and enjoy the experience. Old style beauty describes the auditorium itself, while the lobby, cafe and toilets are all immaculately clean. The staff are welcoming, and we enjoyed a leisurely couple of hours in the cafe one afternoon, with absolutely no pressure to vacate any earlier than we wanted.

Set in the heart of the town, just off the high street, surrounded by shopping, super Cafe's, bar's and restaurants and all that our wonderful town has to offer. I don't feel the town uses the Theater as often as it could - it's a wonderful part of the local culture and one hopes everyone in our town finds the... More

This is a beautiful theatre (although doesn't look much from the outside), intricately decorated and worth a look even if you are not seeing anything. As it happened, we saw an excellent play for a good price.

Stopped for a coffee, not realising what lay inside the modern façade. My friend noticing that La Traviata was on this evening asked if I fancied going (haven't done opera before) I agreed We returned in the evening after pre theatre dinner at Raymond Blanc's restaurant. What a surprise, no, not the £11 for 2 glasses of wine but the beauty... More

We recently attended "Puttin' on the Ritz" which was 2 hours of full on music and dance entertainment. There is a continuous supply of good shows at this wonderful theatre. This is a medium sized theatre in great condition where the decor has been restored to a high level. We were seated in the second row of the circle with... More

Quite a small theatre but the period decor and the warm cosy feel mean that performances here are intimate and personal. Good bar service and friendly staff.

Slightly awkward lunch whereby the instruction to have the salad without croutons didn't get picked up by kitchen. Salad turned up with croutons. Sent back. It then turned up with a sneaky crouton still hiding underneath the salad leaves.. So sent back again. And guess what, they'd run out of salads...The manageress then got involved.... Very apologetic, full refund issued... More
