Lovely gallery in the centre of Rye displaying beautiful photographs of the area. We have holidayed in Rye Harbour & Winchelsea three times now and love the area so it was a treat to visit this gallery. I took advantage of Mr. Purdie's offer of a choice of 3 cards & frame for £19.95, choosing three seascapes, so I could... More

Rye is full of excellent eclectic shops perfect for whiling away a few minutes & admiring the skill of the artists displayed. This small photographic gallery excels, and is worth a visit.

As keen photographers ourselves hubby and I always take a look in David's shop when passing, I really like that the photo's are all local, he takes beautiful &interesting shots with vivid colours and subtle tones dependent on the subject.

As an ex senior television cameraman and a keen photographer, I really admire his work. He obviously spends an enormous amount of his life just waiting for that special moment when the lighting conditions are just right. Excellent stuff, love it.

We've been to Rye many times and aways make a point of dropping by the Purdie Gallery. We already have 2 of David Purdie's (the photographer) canvasses at home so we like to check for any new work whenever we're down. There's a beautiful selection of landscape photography, all shot in and around the local area. They sell canvas prints,... More

My family and I recently spent a very pleasant afternoon in Rye wandering through the town. The highlight for me was the Purdie Gallery which displays a really beautiful selection of photographs. We got talking to David about his pictures and he was happy to spend time chatting to us about how he captures the images. Photography is one of... More
