This is a large, well looked after chuch. It is worth a visit to see the Burne-Jones stained glass window, part of which was on a Christmas stamp a few years ago. It is also interesting to see the large pendulum that swings to and fro in the church itself. Most days you can for a small fee climb to... More

Much has already been written here about the tower/panoramic views, but it's been years since I was well enough to get up there, so I can't make any recent comments on that. (It's a steep, tight climb - you have to be fit and fairly slim to get through some of the narrow spaces.) But everytime we visit Rye, we... More

The church tower has been overly reviewed here so I won't repeat the same things. Everything positive in the other reviews is true. The church itself is a beautiful work of architecture and worth a long look inside and out. I'm assuming that everyone who visits Rye must go to this church so I will leave it here. Enjoy! More

Pay the £2-50 to go up the 84 steps to the top of the tower. It's the highest point in Rye, and the view is spectacular. Try to time it to be passing through the bell-loft as the clock chimes! Great fun! More
