I went here to check out their Sunday lunch. Very good. I went for the lamb - fairly good but not as good as I make it at home! A variety of well-cooked vegetables including cauliflower cheese etc and generous portions. My partner had jerk chicken and rice which she said was tasty. A wide range of choices so I'd... More

Having been to this pub before and enjoyed the excellent ales, I returned recently with my husband and baby. It was a sunny day and the windows were open, the upstairs sun terrace was busy, but sadly we were annoyed by flies for the duration of our visit which was really irritating. Our drinks were great and served by friendly... More

Ate one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Great friendly atmosphere. It's essentially a pub in a flat. Get the table by in the corner and read some old books.

We visited for lunch and were very happy with the beer, the excellent food and the friendly staff. The pub has a great atmosphere and is the real deal not some made over gastro-pub charging too much for too little!

(Sadly) We had just had a short stay at The Lewes Arms and we enjoyed the local ale, it's just awesome; and this ale itself, is worth a trip to lewes. The staff is very friendly and served all the people with humor and happiness. I hope that we'll come back soon.

We visited on weekend of major concert in lewes and the pub was very very busy. The staff were happy and engaged all customers in a happy helpful way making the service first class. There was over one hour wait for food however with good beer on hand this was not a problem. The food was well worth waiting for... More

A great pub that is an excellent introduction to this arty vibrant little town. The food is good value, excellent pub food but don't expect fine dining. The beer is a bit expensive but well kept and there are plenty to choose from. The food can be a bit hit-and-miss and depends a bit on who is in the kitchen... More

My husband was originally from Lewes & so we popped in one evening when visiting the area. Small bar area with a great selection of real ales, popular with locals & visitors alike. Stayed for one and watched the morris dancers outside. Liked the sound of the menu, the helpful staff and the welcoming atmosphere so came back the next... More

Went in Saturday lunch time and the place was packed out. There is an upstairs room which is a bit roomier and as we had our large dog with us, we went up there. The stairs are very steep and a bit narrow - so if you've got a knee problem - like me - you will need to be... More
