Wonderful views. A real retro journey. Short trip but well worth the visit. Well priced attraction. Just don't look down if you're scared of heights!

Really good value at £1.60 return for seniors & no waiting, plan to return in the spring. Lovely walks from the top with more great views over the channel.

During our visit to Hastings old town we decided to take a trip on the Eat cliff railway to the parkland at the top of the cliffs to give the puppy a run (between showers) The return ticket was £2.60 each, puppy free and we had no wait either end. The ride has great views and is a good experience... More

Having decided to take some time out to visit parts of our own town, we had to visit this place as part of the old town visit. We are really glad we did. We wanted to get up on to the east hill as its called and take a look across the old town and up to the pier and... More

The first sight of the carriages is not necessarily comforting, but Victorian engineers knew their stuff. The ride is brilliant, especially on a bright day, the Old Town and the Stade fold out before you and it is really fun.

Wonderful to have this running still. £2.50 for an adult return and great views at the top. Plus a tea room which is always worth a cuppa!

I thought I'd have to pluck up a lot of nerve to ride the East Hill Lift — the steepest funicular railway in Britain (gradient 78%!!) — but it's not at all scary once you're on it, even when going downhill. A fun ride for all ages with spectacular views of Hastings and great walks to be had in Hastings... More
