Very enjoyable. Suitable for all ages. A highlight of our family visit to Hastings. Learnt a lot about the history of smuggling and of trying to stop smuggling in this part of the world. Plenty of exhibits that bring the history to life.

To be honest I wasn't expecting to enjoy this and a delay while a school party was assisted didn't bode well, but it was fun. Atmospherically dark meant I was careful I didn't trip particularly as we entered the tunnels. Lots of interactive items and history. We were glad we visited and sorry to have reached the end.

We had a beautiful walk at Hastings Castle and the park on the hill, and decided to continue with the Smugglers Adventure. The exhibit was quite outdated with many features that were not functioning. The historical aspects were interesting, but repetitive with simplistic animatronics and audio.

Going to The Smugglers Adventure is a bit of a walk even if you go up The Cliff Lift, then when you are inside you are walking around the caves. Some of the exhibits are looking a bit old, but i think the Children will like it. Adults will find the History interesting.

A very interesting place where smuggerling happened. Sound effects and figures could be updated but nevertheless it was educational and makes a changes to go into the caves as an experience. Entrance is not far from the top of funicular railway but not the one in the old town.

unfortunately I think the days of mannequins in dark caves with a quick sound byte when you push the button are long gone. There was little animation and at times it was so dark you couldn't see anything - maybe a little too much like it was. There were some interesting bits where you could pick up on the history... I read reviews on this before i went and i really don't think it was as 'tacky' as some people made it out to be. Although i will say that anybody who is claustrophobic may not enjoy themselves too much in here. It is very dark upon entry and it does take your eyes some time to adjust. Nevertheless, it... More

Fun to see and learn the history of the caves but a bit chilly inside. There is a lot of history in old town Hastings,
