Great attraction. Always been a lifetime favourite of mine however was deeply saddened that the organisation who now owns this attraction have carved their logo into the historic cave wall. Of course can be a little claustrophobic but there is nothing like live actors etc. Worth the visit and fee to get in. Will visit again and would recommend. Hopefully... More

The caves this attraction is set in are stunning on their own, but with the smuggling exhibits included it really is a great few hours. You enter through a long dark tunnel to start the exhibition. With life size models and eerie lighting this is an interesting tour. There is an interactive section which is great fun where you get to... More

This is a well looked after and interesting place, there are some fascinating stories and artefacts as you walk thru the winding caves. You're not hurried and can take your time reading the stories and learning about the history of smugglers in the region.

A hidden gem of local history. Interactive activities which the children enjoyed. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The cashier in the shop was very patient with the six year old children using their money independently. I was especially impressed with the range available in the gift shop. Lots of small items which were very reasonably priced.

Smugglers Adventure was very interesting, scary and is worth seeing! We enjoyed the 90 minutes walk and adventure through many dark light caves. In some parts its interactive, very good for kids. You had to weave through narrow passageways and it was very dark and sometimes quite drafty. So now we traveled a few centuries back ....... approx. 40000 smugglers... More

The caves are larger than expected and mysterious. There was a lot of information about smugglers. Some educational machines were quite old.

The Smugglers Adventure has been a firm family favourite for nearly three decades. The central character, smuggler 'Hairy Jack' tells the history of local smuggling in a way that informative and interesting for all ages. I used to go to the caves as a child and now take young family members and international students as part of a day out;... More
