I enjoyed this attraction. It was informative and fun. There were a lot of special effects and hands on exhibits. It is interesting how the caves have been used through the years.

A very interesting tale of a crime that was seen as a necessary to survive due to the states taxation on goods which inevitably led death and destruction. Walking through the caves was a very interesting journey through history the how the caves once used for smuggling later became ballrooms that hosted jazz nights.

Spent around 1.5 hours here on a Saturday morning. Arrived about 11, and it was fairly quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. You follow a route underground in tunnels. To start with it was pretty dark, but then in the larger caverns where there were information boards, interactive activities, it was well lit, although still in keeping. We learnt a... More

There are about 5 acres of tunnels dug under the hill. if you suffer from clostraphobia you might not like it. It is quite dark but there are quite a few hands on activities which makes it interesting. The animated stories about smugglers and their fate is well done.

I visited with a group of girls we didn't know what to expect. We were shocked at what a great attraction it is. And we learnt a lot. Well worth the price. Would defiantly visit again if I'm ever in the area. The website says suitable for all ages but I'm not sure my 5 year old would liked the... More

Well priced, no rush, and safe for adults and children alike - as long as you can walk along half-bent over for a short stretch ;-) Learn about smugglers and associated phrases still used to this very day - reach it via the funicular railway for another aspect to the visit.

This will be the second time we have visited the caves with grandchildren and although the children loved every minute of it. I can honestly say, whoever runs this attraction needs to spend a bit more money on it's facilities. We took a grandchild to visit about 2 years ago and most of the broken equipment the children are meant... More

We were very excited about visiting the smugglers adventure but didn't find it nearly as exciting as we were expecting. The 12 year old with us enjoyed it but our younger 6 year old found it a little too scary and then boring. We were out the other side within the hour and paid around £7.00 each to get in... More
