The history of the caves is very interesting for adults and the interactive features of smugglers is great for kids and young teens. Although v.little kids might get a bit scared!

Went here just as an afterthought as other usershad given this quite mixed reviews. Really glad we took the time as this provides an insight into the true character of Hastings and it's somewhat historically chequered past. If you want an easy history lesson and the chance to have your photo taken in the stocks (take a pal and a... More

Yes it is bit scary start with so if you have sensitive children I would not advise it. We were lucky for the majority of it it was just me and my boys. Very interactive and very informative. A bit jumpy and a bit spooky. Loved it.

They tell you at the gate you will be in there about an hour. Well worth the entrance fee. Very interesting learning all about the history of smuggling. We really enjoyed the experience.

Although I appreciate the history to these caves I couldn't help but feel that it could all do with a revamp, a new idea to make use of them, it's all a bit used and having been there as a child it's exactly the same 25 years later. The staff though were lovely and when the fire alarm went off... More

We visited here with our two little girls(2&3). They weren't impressed,my eldest was terrified because it is so dark, even though we pre warned her. We left after about 10 minutes and was pleased that the man on the till gave us our money back without asking. He then gave us directions to family attractions in the area and was very... More

This was not really an adventure, was dated and pretty boring.. Needs revamping.. I struggled to walk up the steep steps and lanes having COPD but thought it would be worth it... Sorry to say it wasn't. Dissapointed

I visited the Smugglers Adventure with my friends by a cold windy weather and we expected way more than we saw. Even though the surrounding was extraordinary, the caves were poor and also quite small. The visitor gets the impression that the tour is long, but this only because of all the places where you have to wait sooo long... More
