We've had many good family visits to the aquarium. It's particularly useful as a place to visit on a rainy day. We had a child's birthday party here last year and were very impressed with the guide.

Visited today with my 3 young children. So so glad I only paid for me. My eldest has a Blue Peter badge so got in for free; only to be told they stopped that a while ago, my other two are classed as free entry. Very small and was quickly in and out, despite me trying to hold them back.... More

Some lovely fish here and some well done displays. Regular feedings done by the staff so you can see the fish being fed. Staff were friendly and happy to answer questions. On the down sides: 1) A tad expensive considering a visit only lasts about an hour. 2) The café was shut when we visited for no clear reason. This... More

Very dissapointed with our visit, not worth the amount we paid for entrance, not far off £20 for two adults and in there for probably half an hour. The information on the tanks, do not fit with what is in the tanks. One shark had a fin missing which looked raw, i approached a member of staff, who explained that... More

We liked this aquarium. Great fish. Just think it needed updating a bit but was very interesting. Cafe was closed due to a problem.

The aquarium has a huge range of animals, including the favourites like the Nemo fish (clown fish), a shark, jellyfish, starfish, puffer fish, rays, sea horses and a wide variety of creatures you have never heard of! It is a great place to take the whole family. There is lots to learn and lots to see, and the gift shop... More

Me and my partner were staying in the Lodge Winchelsea for a weekend. We saw the aquarium online thinking it would be a nice attraction - and I use the term attraction loosely - to visit. I tried to book online and when I put my information in to pay the website kept saying error and I tried 3-4 times.... More

I went with my Husband to the Blue Reef aquarium and I have to say I was very disappointed. We went round quite quickly as there wasn't much to see. The octopus did not have enough room to move around and neither did the snakes. How can they have such large animals in small cages, I wanted to take the... More

Dear Aurora-3989, Thank you for your review. Regarding the size of the site - we are a small seaside aquarium and we offer the ticket as an all day pass to enable you to make the most of your visit. All of our animals are in perfectly suitable tanks - we have to adhere to strict standards and would never... More
